[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new version of this microwave/convection oven offers a bunch of features we have no use for. Also, whose idea was it to have the features panel dark gray against black?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new GE profile microwave convection oven. I had one previously for several years stopped working so we bought the newer one love it.
Dimensions of microwave and Trim kit misinformatio

New microwave was a replacement that was to be the same dimensions as the old one so it would fit into the existing cabinet. New one was smaller in width and length. That caused problems requiring modifications to the cabinet so the trim piece when attached would cover the opening. Not pleased with the info from GE that stated the new microwave was a replacement for the old GE Profile Convection and should fit the cabinet dimensions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The countertop microwave built-in trim kits require a specific size cut-out opening in the cabinet. It is important to check the required cut-out dimensions for the trim kit. This information can be found in the microwave quick specs document below: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--_9JCu6kq--/a9geouzkkihsj0j6k7jm.pdf

Microwave works well but have had to replace built in three times in past 10 years because of microwave failure. Each time the built in surround design/size was changed and had to be replaced.

We're sorry to hear about your microwave needing to be replaced. We're confident that the latest replacement is going to serve you for many years to come. Thank you again for taking a moment to share this.
Had one GE made is 06 the display was larger (loved that) don’t like the feature of having to cancel to open it. Still trying to figure out how to heat for 45 seconds instead of pressing 1 for 1 minute or 2 for 2 minutes! The print is so small one can barely read it all and all I’m not impressed with it!!!!

We are sorry that this replacement microwave has not lived up to your expectations due to the display and the door opening process while in use. This microwave can only be used in increments of 30 seconds or 1 minute. Your feedback is extremely important to us. We will pass these comments along to our product team to review.
We moved in our new house a little over two years ago. Our microwave was the only option from our builder. It is a nice microwave and we've had no complaints until recently. I started with the display missing a bar and now some buttons not working. The warranty was only for 1 year! We have researched the cost of repairing just the display and it is a ridiculous amount. For replacing this unit there is no way to match the opening of the trim ring without doing a direct replacement. I have never had a microwave have these problems in such a short period of time.

We're sorry to hear about the control panel not responding. We'd like to help.
We recommend trying out an electronic reset. This can be done by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in. If this doesn't help, then we suggest scheduling service with our Bodewell team. You can do so by calling 1-833-426-3393 or by visiting this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service
We needed to replace the cabinet microwave that came with our 25 year old house. This fit the cut out perfectly and the trim kit was easy to install and looks great.
