Microwave works well but have had to replace built in three times in past 10 years because of microwave failure. Each time the built in surround design/size was changed and had to be replaced.

Dimensions of microwave and Trim kit misinformatio

New microwave was a replacement that was to be the same dimensions as the old one so it would fit into the existing cabinet. New one was smaller in width and length. That caused problems requiring modifications to the cabinet so the trim piece when attached would cover the opening. Not pleased with the info from GE that stated the new microwave was a replacement for the old GE Profile Convection and should fit the cabinet dimensions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The countertop microwave built-in trim kits require a specific size cut-out opening in the cabinet. It is important to check the required cut-out dimensions for the trim kit. Love my new GE profile

keyboard should be lit up when activated. beeps volume shoud be able to be adjusted. Had to have unit replaced as original was defective.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this to fit into a custom cabinet in kitchen. Panel went out after 3 years. Waited 6 months for a replacement oven as the repair costs exceeded the cost of a new appliance-had to purchase again and panel went out AGAIN on the new one after 3 years. Looks like GE has discontinued but still available at ABT. Avoid at all costs.

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will be by 3rd microwave. The only reason why I'm repurchasing it is because of it's size. My kitchen was customized and it's the only microwave that fits the space. The controls malfunction after a while. Fixing it costs as much as new appliance. Extremely disappointed that I didn't purchase a warranty.

Not an upgrade over the 2011 model

I'm less than impressed with this microwave. Does it work- yes. However for being a Profile and charging Profile prices I would expect better. This one isn't nearly as nice as our old one that we got in 2011. This one is smaller on the inside and the touchpad isn't great. There is such a glare and you have to press hard to make a selection. They definitely cheaped out on the touchpad.
Since I've only used it for reheating things the power is fine and does what it needs to do. Some of the features look nice but I haven't used many. I've tried heating things up at power level 7 and it's more like a level 4-5. I have the app hooked up and turned off notifications because it got old be alerted every time my husband heated up his lunch while I wasn't home.
I'm glad to have a microwave that aesthetically matches our other appliances with the trim, but this isn't as good as what GE used to offer. Definitely not an upgrade. For some it may be, but for me it's just a MEH microwave.
Doubt we will get GE in our next home if this is what we can expect.
