Best cup I ever had from a coffee machine

First tried using mug setting 10 oz on gold setting. Added non-dairy creamer. Taste tested before adding sweetener. Perfect! Sugar not needed! First time that ever happened! Definitely worth the time spent figuring all the settings, etc. Highly recommended.

I scoured the internet to find a coffee maker that would grind the beans, make a pot of coffee, or a cup without using plastic pods with the touch of a button. The Profile does all that plus has many more features that I love.
But, the best part is that it makes great tasting coffee.

Want to love it

Sleek in appearance and design, but a poor vent placement reduces functionality. Water/steam spews out and settles under coffee maker/counter making cleanup necessary which lowers convenience. Do I have a lemon? Williams Sonoma said it is not returnable. Love the flexibility of brewing a single cup or a full carafe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brewing Basket Door won’t stay closed

I’ve had this coffee maker for a few weeks and overall was very happy with it. But now all of a sudden, the door won’t stay closed. It pops open at times when it’s grinding, and will also pop open while brewing. I have no idea what’s going wrong, as I am extremely careful to make sure the basket is placed properly and I also confirm that it clicks when it snaps shut. I’m at a loss to know how to resolve this enoying problem. The coffee will be brewing, and for no reason the brewing basket door flies open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best I ever had.

There’s a bit of a mess during the post brew cleanup, but for the best coffee that I’ve had from a brewer, I’m learning to accept it.
With all the available options, I’m glad for the Gold standard SCA certified brew settings. It would be nice to have what the default bloom length is, something that can only be modified on the app. I am not the kind of routine wake up guy, so the setting for a begin to brew time doesn’t work for me.
I love that I can start it from my bed when I wake up.
I’ll be sure to mention it in my, “Trading Post” podcast.

Freshly ground coffee!

Easy to operate, great settings and control, app functionality. Love that it will grind the beans before it makes the pot...love it! 10 cup capacity so a little less than others who have 12 or 14 cups.
Adding water is a pain, large container, but opening is somewhat small and painful to get to. I spill every single time so end up having my coffee pot on a tray to collect overspill, etc. and keep it off the counter.
Be aware, there is no heater with this coffee pot. It brews the coffee into the carafe and that's all...its stays warm for an hour or two, but then cools off. I wasn't aware of then when purchasing but it hasn't been too much of an issue since I drink a whole pot usually within an hour.
Only real beef I have is I wish the bean holder was deeper. I keep having to remember to check it each night and fill it up. It usually lasts two days before it needs filling up and I forgot one night and it didn't brew the next day as there weren't enough beans to grind. I'm appreciative that it didn't brew a weak pot but still a pain as there is no notification of "low beans" or anything.

This coffee maker is great and works very well, much better than cheaper makers I have used. The only additional feature I wish it had, is a hot plate to keep coffee hot.
