Sleek in appearance and design, but a poor vent placement reduces functionality. Water/steam spews out and settles under coffee maker/counter making cleanup necessary which lowers convenience. Do I have a lemon? Williams Sonoma said it is not returnable. Love the flexibility of brewing a single cup or a full carafe.

Brewing Basket Door won’t stay closed

I’ve had this coffee maker for a few weeks and overall was very happy with it. But now all of a sudden, the door won’t stay closed. It pops open at times when it’s grinding, and will also pop open while brewing. I have no idea what’s going wrong, as I am extremely careful to make sure the basket is placed properly and I also confirm that it clicks when it snaps shut. I’m at a loss to know how to resolve this enoying problem. The coffee will be brewing, and for no reason the brewing basket door flies open.

Best I ever had.

There’s a bit of a mess during the post brew cleanup, but for the best coffee that I’ve had from a brewer, I’m learning to accept it. With all the available options, I’m glad for the Gold standard SCA certified brew settings. It would be nice to have what the default bloom length is, something that can only be modified on the app. I am not the kind of routine wake up guy, so the setting for a begin to brew time doesn’t work for me. I love that I can start it from my bed when I wake up. I’ll be sure to mention it in my, “Trading Post” podcast.

This coffee maker is great and works very well, much better than cheaper makers I have used. The only additional feature I wish it had, is a hot plate to keep coffee hot.

You can also perform an electronic reset. This can be done by unplugging the power cord for 2-3 minutes, then plugging it back in.

Grinder clogging issues. Do not buy

I like the setup and the coffee this makes. Unfortunately the grinder isn’t able to be properly cleaned and after two months it wasn’t getting any grinds through. I never used dark roast, and always used the most coarse setting but even that is pretty fine… I cleaned out the grinder with the instructions in the manual after the first 25 brews and it was fine, but before I got to 50 brews it clogged up on me. It seems like part of the grind mechanism is not reachable which is a pretty big flaw. I cleaned everything out that was accessible and still get no grounds coming through.

Nice cup of coffee..crappy app.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brews a great cup of coffee. The app sucks ! does not allow me to save a schedule. Not intuitive. Constantly floods me with notifications that are false positives. I disabled the bean sensor that helped a bit. The rest of the notifications are just random nonsense i.e. ensure filter basket is seated etc etc.
Please fix the app !!
