Not great, smears poop behind grate

Not even sure how this happens, but it misses the poop and it ends up behind the grate and smashes it on the end. I'm cleaning and scooping way more than our other automatic box.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Issue with Crystals

My cat hates the crystals. They are sharp and crunchy under paw, not like sand or beads. He entered the box a number of times and then refused to use it. The last box self cleaning I owned used sand and he was fine with it. Unfortunately, it was discontinued. I am very disappointed in the product and will not recommend it.

Big but nice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The thought of this self cleaning litter box is great! It actually scoops, aka cleans the litter every time my cat is done. It's so nice not having to clean the box myself, you know? That alone is definitely a plus. I'm happy to have it.
On the downside, the box is really big and took quite a bit of time to set up. I wasn't prepared for how big it was. The litter included doesn't work very good either. I had to change the litter & tray within three weeks. Not a happy camper. Hopefully things get easier.
I would recommend it for people who can't bend over much and what not. Once the changing is done and such, the box is nice to have but don't trust the litter and be prepared - it is big/heavy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Please ensure that the litter box is placed in a dry, well ventilated area. If it is in a humid room (bathroom, basement, laundry room) the crystals will absorb moisture from the air and the trays will not last as long.

Trays don't last long enough

I got this litter box a week ago and set it up. My cat jumped right in and used it before I even had the app connected! She had no adjustment problems at all. The smell has been controlled well, and my wife hasn't complained a single time. The only problem with this box is, it doesn't hold enough stuff. I have 1 cat, she entered the box 34 times in a week (thanks for counting!) and she filled the litter trap. I don't know if she's just a prolific producer but I was surprised to see that she filled it in a week.
I would recommend this to a friend!

There are many factors that can attribute to the odor control of the ScoopFree including how many cats use the box, their age, general health, diet and many other factors.
You may find it helpful to know that the ScoopFree crystal litter works by absorbing moisture from your cat's waste. Knowing this, you will want to make sure that the ScoopFree is kept in an area that doesn't experience a lot of humidity (such as a bathroom or laundry room). If the area is humid, the litter will absorb moisture from the air and will be unable to do so with your cat's waste, greatly shortening the life of the trays.

WIFI Feature Does Not Work

Bought this to replace an older model and thought the app monitoring might be good since I have the feeder and it's attached to the wifi and I already have the app installed. Unfortunately the wifi would never connect to my network regardless of what I did to make it connect. I even set up a separate 2.4g wifi channel just for the litter box and still it did not work in the app.
Save your money and buy the version without wifi.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am disappointed the lid that goes up when it is

bought 2 months ago and the lid that goes up on the box to hide the poop has broken so now when cat goes and it starts to scoop the automatic lid that is suppose to go up falls off! Question I REPLACE this or do I have to buy a whole new scoop free litter box which I will not do as it is rather expensive. It worked fine until my cat somehow broke it!!

Makes life easier

It makes life easier because i don't have to scoop every day. However, cleaning day is a pain. Simply throwing the tray away is fine, but I have to deep clean the metal scooper, the sides, the top, etc. The box smells pretty bad even after changing the litter every 2-3 weeks. If there is a way to clean the device and all the crevices, that would be super nice.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has become a household staple! Scooping my old litter box killed my back. I'm not that old but it was just annoying chore that no one likes doing. I love my cat but not her mess. I was afraid with her being older she would not like the fact that it did not have a cover. I was wrong, she enjoys it just as much as we do. I love the ability to be able to use the "my petsafe" app in my phone, its a neat feature. I would recommend this to friends and family. I would also recommend this for a picky cat/kitten.
