Life saver!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This litter box is great. It comes with the first set of litter needed. It will last a good month with one pet. Then you just buy refills after that. It’s so easy to set up. You just put the box down first then put the system over it. You plug it in and add the litter. After the cat uses the box it will give it a little bit of time before scooping. It will then scoop it and place it under a little door so you don’t see it or smell it. After that when it fills up you just replace it. It’s as simple as lifting the system and getting the used litter tray out and throwing away. Then replacing. When you buy the refill boxes you just keep the lid and use that to cover it after used and throw away like that. My door that rises when scooping gets stuck sometimes. If so you can close it yourself. Just make sure there is no litter and you keep the hinges clean so it will close smoothly. Also this litter is great to keep the urine smell trapped underneath so you don’t smell it either.

Product just didn't work well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to own this litter box orginally. But it was didn't work as well as I had hoped. It didn't remove all the waste from the litter and it would get stuck in the arm that passes over litter to clean it. And my house smelled horrible . It was a great concept I just wish it would have worked better for the price of the item.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been extremely happy with my PetSafe ScoopFree Smart Self-Cleaning Littler Box that I got for our cats. If you hate cleaning the litter box then this is the product for you. It's so easy to set up and it self cleans. It's extremely convenient and time saving. The cats had no problems switching to this system. The other very cool feature about this product is that it connects to your smart phone and gives you tons of really cool information about your cat's bathroom health. I highly recommend this product to anyone with cats. It's a fantastic product that saves money and time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the product works. It scoops it up .. doesn't get stuck . The litter don't stink . I only complaint would be the cardboard base. I think it should be plastic and not have to be replaced everytime. The price is alittle to high to keep buying replacements .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had about given up on self cleaning litter boxes til i took a chance and tried the PetSafe ScoopFree Smart Self-Cleaning Litter Box . This is my third one and i'm glad i kept trying. I really don't like cleaning litter boxes! I dont like the dust and dealing with the scoopings.This is much smaller and less bulky and works so much better than the ones i have tried previously. The absolute best thing is that i never have to touch the litter at ALL. It uses pre filled crystal litter trays that you buy You slide them into the bottom of the box and slide them out to dispose of. So sanitary! They even come with a lid for disposal. One tray lasts me a month with one cat. There is no mess and no odor and also no tracking because the crystal litter has no dust. The way it works is that a rake comes across it 20 minutes after your cat steps out. The solid waste is deposited in a waste trap that also locks in smells so you never see it or smell it. It also comes with a smart app that lets you monitor your cats usage both at home and away from home which is a really nice feature. This has really simplified my litter box routine and I recommend it highly.

Could Not Live Without It!

My huge ragdoll cat has been using this litter box for 4 years now. I absolutely love it. I do have to scoop it once a week but it’s no problem. I save $ by purchasing the bags of crystals. I bought an extra tray, so when I change it (about every 3 weeks), I just get the extra clean tray out. I wash the dirty one and let it dry for next time. I also put a good amount of baking soda on the bottom of the tray before adding the crystals. Because my cat doesn’t like scents, I use the sensitive litter. Adding the baking soda keeps the odors out. We used to have 2 cats and this tray accommodates 2 fine. I am 70 years old & have spinal & neck fusions. Life is so much easier with this tray.

Great concept

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the pet safe scoopfree smart self-cleaning litter box for a few months now, and I absolutely love the concept. I have 5 cats so I figured at least 1 of them would use it right away? Right? Not so much. It took one of my cats almost 10 days to want to use it. I even followed the cat acclimation tips, that are thankfully included. Once my baby used it, it did everything it said it did. It quietly raked everything into the waste trap. I think my cat saw it happen? That specific cat never used it again. I now have 2 out of 5 cats that prefer to use this litter box over the multiple traditional litter box. Which is fine for me. The refill trays are pretty pricey but absolutely worth it. I don't know if it would be worth it if all 5 cats used it? I would have to change it out every 3-5 days if they did. So for now im changing it out every 10-15 days, due to only 2 of my babies wanting to use it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of the price of the refills. Absolutely worth it for 2 cats, not for 5. But I do love this product a lot. Thank you.

No more scooping!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This box is so easy to use! I'm a week into using this box, so far I love it. Assembly was a breeze and my kitty Leela used it right away. With most little boxes there's usually some odor but surprisingly this one didn't smell. I had to lift the waste lid open to see if she'd used it. Just change the tray once or twice a week no odor. I bought the reusable tray for eco friendliness. I'd also recommend buying the hood. My kitty likes to kick and scratch the litter for funsies and make a mess. The hood keeps most of the litter in the box.
