Great features - most suited to one cat

I purchased this product a year ago. The idea itself is genius. The issue is with cleaning, emptying the litter out of the box. The dome is bulky, and awkward to handle and aim into a garbage can. Urine slips out between the seams of the dome making the whole thing even more complex. I believe the main issue lies with the fact that you cannot put more than a bare minimum of litter in the dome. With three cats the crystal soon becomes totally drenched in urine meaning that I have to change out the litter every 2/3 days. My take is that it is wonderful for one cat. With multiple cats, there needs to be another version which can take more litter in the first place AND be easier to handle to empty the litter out.

I love this product so 5 stars, my cats, two 4 month old kittens love it as well. For the price in comparison to much more expensive models it cannot be beat. It definitely entertains my cats daily they think it is a big toy, so priceless on some level. Overall really functional. I do highly recommend a step stool or foot cushion at the entrance as it is high off the ground, for cats to easily get in and out of but I wouldn't change the design as it looks really nice w legs and is functional for the holding bin underneath. I cat with mobility issues or arthritis will need a step up. I clean my boxes daily with two cats, as anyone should but this cuts down on scooping and dust. I have secondary flexible regular box. I have read some reviews where people complain about the smell or needing to clean it regularly but that is soooo silly, you simply need to pick up after your cats regularly and there are no problems. I have tried different litter in this, eco, shavings, etc. they all work as long as they are clumping litters. A bonus I think this box saves on litter costs as it can only hold a limited amount.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not Ideal for Large Cats Despite Smart Features

I’ve been using this litter box for about a year and intentionally waited before writing a review so I could provide an honest, long-term perspective. Initially, my cat was very hesitant to use it. Because the unit sits fairly high off the ground, I had to purchase a step to help him get in comfortably. Once he adjusted, I was impressed by several features, especially the app, which is helpful for tracking usage.
Over time, however, I’ve noticed some issues that have become frustrating. There are occasions when waste is left behind in the litter after a visit, as if the unit didn’t detect my cat or failed to cycle properly. Other times, the bin does rotate to empty, but due to the design, waste can spin forward and fall out the front of the unit onto the floor. There is also a small internal ledge that becomes exposed during the cleaning cycle, and waste frequently gets caught there and builds up over time.
Another downside is the deodorizer. Its lifespan is very short and, in my opinion, not worth the cost. I also have a large, long-haired cat (a Ragdoll), and I’m beginning to think this litter box may simply be too small for his comfort. Recently, he has started defecating outside the box, usually on the mat, although he still urinates inside consistently.
Overall, this is a significant investment, and while it has some impressive features, the design flaws and size limitations make it hard to fully recommend, especially for larger cats or for anyone concerned about value if issues arise.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Safe efficient, clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve seen all of these ads these years and finally got one! It makes cleaning up after my cats way easier by automatically sifting through the litter, so I don’t have to dig for gold. It's high tech and safe as well. If my curious cat decides to jump back in while it’s cleaning, it stops until she’s out. It weighs my chonker and chonkish cats, to help me keep track of. It also looks sleek and fits nicely in the room, plus it does a solid job of containing odors. On a scale of diarrhea to solid stool, I’d give it a solid 10. Definitely worth it if you want less hassle and a cleaner space!

Works, but is impossible to clean.

Purchased less than a year ago, maybe 8 months and at first it was nice but the first time I had to disassemble to clean the issues became obvious, there was so much litter and urine that managed to get under the rubber mat after about a week (this was the smell that prompted me to disassemble and clean). and litter has kept getting caked to the sides of the sphere, any litter that is sifted most of it winds up in the gear/tracks that the box sit in to rotate. I purchased this hoping to not have to clean a litter box as frequently but have found myself cleaning it just as often and now it takes me 3 times as long because I have to disassemble and reassemble if I don't want litter sitting in all the nooks, crannies, screw holes, and underneath the rubber/magnet. It wouldn't be so bad if this rubber mat that is prone to damage was a replaceable part.

Get idea poor execution.

Bought two months ago. Will not stay connected to wifi. We are in the 21st century. Should be able to connect to a 5g network. Not a 2.4g network. Just saying get with the century. We have a new product that is supposed to provide convenience but only works on 2.4g network.

Just as with many other current electronics this box does use 2.4 GHz as this provides longer range within the home and is therefore ideal for use with smart devices. The vast majority of routers are dual band, so you should be able to quickly select the correct band and reconnect your box.

Great product slight issue

Absolutely love this thing. Great game changer. However, my only issue is the add litter button. Boy does that drive me insane. At first it worked but now it never does and I have to constantly unplug it just to add the litter. I also don’t think you can set the timer for less than 7 minutes which I have tried and it just automatically changes back to 7. I also wish there was an easier way to put the litter in the box because whenever I do I get litter everywhere and now tilt it back against the wall to put litter in. Pain in the butt. Other than that I love it.
