PetSafe ScoopFree Smart Spin Litter Box

I've had this litter box for a little over a month and I regret from EVER switching from a regular litter box.
1) The sticky adhesive wears away quickly and the mat where you place the litter falls and gets litter EVERYWHERE every self-cleaning cycle. I've tried many adhesives (that I had to buy myself) to try to fix the problem with no luck.
2) The sensors are very sensitive and will pause the cleaning cycle (even upside, with all the litter in the save compartment) when they occur. While at work, it's gotten stuck multiple times and I've come home to my cat having used the bathroom directly outside of the litter box because the smartspin litter box wouldn't complete the cycle and was stuck on the waste drawer side.
3) It gets dirty very quickly and is an incredible pain to clean as you have to unscrew and take apart the entire litter box.

This product has done nothing but making cleaning the litter box EVEN more of a headache. Do yourself a favor and buy a different one. I invested in this hoping it would make my life more convenient and it's done the exact opposite.

Would not buy again

Overall, this was a very good idea that was executed very poorly. There were constant issues with the weight sensors, so many tight spaces for litter to fall into, and it was extremely challenging to clean and keep clean. No part of this box is sealed against smells, and the deodorizer does little to nothing to help reduce the smell. I hate that I kept it for five months and didn't return it while I could. Colossal waste of money.

Lasted 3 months now will not work

Lasted 3 months Now getting abnormal motor current message every time. Unit is clean enough to eat off and even without any litter in the unit it still gives the same code and will not complete a cycle. Save yourself some money and do not get this

Bought this as an additional litter box to our litter robot mostly on the good reviews. After several weeks, it leaves me a little disappointed as it drops litter out the front and the app is not as friendly as litter robots. Not as sturdy as the litter robot.

Great box but…

It does have a few flaws. If the poop is not dry or covered enough it does stick to the sides or will get caught in the open area when it spins and get caught in that area and smear. I have to wipe it down every few days as it will stink. The only other flaw is I wish it had a full guard like another brand so you can empty the litter in the dump bin when changing, it will make it less messy then trying to dump old litter out of the hole. Otherwise a good product, just needs to be revamped a little more.

Amazing purchase

I wanted to add a review since all i saw were free product reviews. I was skeptical since it was pricey but way cheaper than a litter robot! I kept my cats old litter box next to it for the first two days and used some of her used litter to get her scent in the new box and put a few treats in a bowl and put it inside so she would jump in. That worked like a charm and now she uses it regualtly

Sifter holes way too large

The idea is great, however they made the sifter holes so large that poop goes right through them and back in with the litter. My cat will pee anywhere else if the litter box has any tiny piece of poop in it, hence the need for an expensive auto box. They need to redesign the sifter and send everyone who has this thing a replacement part.

This is my first scoopless litter box for my cat, and we both love it! Very easy to clean and looks great as a furniture piece honestly. My cat began using it right away with no hesitation. Highly recommend!
