Works well, just wish there were steps. For my senior cat, it's 12.5 inches from the floor to entrance. This is just too high for him and I had to buy a 3rd party step. I wish there was an option to purchase pet safe steps like litter robot has. The box is quiet and easy to setup. For a litter box, it is attractive. My other 2 cats like it. One is a fatty and he fits.

So far, I'm really liking this unit. Assembly was fairly easy, instructions were pretty clear. I had a little trouble connecting to my wifi but that was more user error than anything. Once connected, it was easy to set up the app. Unfortunately in the last few months I had just started buying a brand of litter that isn't very compatible with robot boxes (at the time I'd planned to use regular boxes). Now that I have the SmartSpin, I definitely agree this litter won't work & I'm switching over. Changing the waste basket is super easy. And the smaller bags are easier to handle. In terms of cat acceptance, my girls were very curious while I was putting it together, each taking a turn climbing in. Once it was together, however, not so much. I gave them a couple days to acclimate, removing one old box and letting the other get dirty. Then finally took the other box out and they resisted a bit that first day, but were fine by that night. They're the kind to leary of new things, so if your cat takes new things in stride, this should be no problem. Definitely making my life easier so far!

Stopped working after a few months.

We were beyond excited to have finally been able to get this litter box after saving up for it. But just after a few months of use, it has stopped working. After the issue was that it would rotate maybe half way around and freeze. Now, it won't rotate at all, it just shows a 3 on the little digital screen. We have tried so much to try and fit this, but nothing has worked. We are disappointed.

This error code can typically be resolved by unplugging the box, fully and thoroughly cleaning the box following the steps in the manual, then reassembling the box and plugging it back in.

The biggest waste of money

I bought this back in September 2024 for my new kitten, she has adapted well to using it so that was a plus. This thing has more problems than not, litter constantly gets in places it shouldn’t and makes the litter box throw a code which makes it not work. The amount of times I’ve had to fully take this apart and deep clean it just so it would function for 1 day just to cause me more issues, is insane. I wish I had never wasted money on this. I would not recommend this to anyone.

I love it! But my cat doesn’t…

I purchased this litter box a few weeks ago because my old PetSafe litter scooping box kicked the bucket. I decided on this one because I have friends with similar litter boxes who have had great experiences with theirs. I love that it’s overall easy to assemble—just has a lot of pieces. I also liked that it came with the trash bags, gloves, and filters. It is very quiet when it cleans. However, my cat absolutely WILL NOT use it. I have tried everything I can think of, but he just won’t get in it and is going potty outside of it. I think this is a great product, just not a good fit for my cat.

Though you may have already tried this, we would recommend unplugging the box and allowing it to sit with litter that your cat is accustomed to in it next to your cat's prior box. Having the box still/quiet and near the old box may help with acclimation, especially if the new box is kept cleaner than the prior box.

Just WOW!

I recently moved into an apartment from a house and had a different brand self-cleaning litter box that I had no room for. Let me tell you!! This is SO MUCH quieter than my other! Fits great into my smaller apartment and very nice esthetics! I only wish it had a step for my older cat, but other than that, it's great!

Not as great as we had hoped

We were gifted this automatic litter box and we're So excited to set it up. Our cats Instantly loved it too as we have a few. In fact they preferred it over any of our others. But, sadly after a month maybe two it keeps giving the error message that the sphere is not detected and or that the cover is not installed. We have made sure to take it apart and clean it very well then placed it back together. As we thought a piece of cat litter could have dislodged, however that was not the case.
