This is my 1st & last Whirlpool purchase

I have been mulling over whether to leave this review for a month now, but I’ve gotta have my say…this is the first Whirlpool appliance that I have owned & it will be my last. We replaced a 20 year old GE ceramic top range with this Whirlpool range in late November 2024. There was nothing wrong with our GE, but the oven on my mother’s 30 year old GE stopped working—she doesn’t cook very often so we gave her our range & purchased a new Whirlpool. I was leaning toward a Samsung, but we live in a rural area & no one here repairs Samsung/LG & it was recommended by local repairmen to purchase Whirlpool/GE/Frigidaire. I chose this Whirlpool as it had features that I liked over the other 2 US brands. Jump forward to July 2025 & I am wiping the stove top with a damp microfiber cloth when a piece of the side trim along the front stainless steel strip breaks off. I thought the whole SS piece was metal but those side pieces are plastic. I am not happy. Two weeks later the same piece on the other side of the range breaks. I can also see the finish wearing along the front edge of the SS strip. None of this makes me happy. Once again, tonight I am wiping down the stove top with a damp(water only) microfiber cloth & as I come to the right-hand side of the stove top the cloth is caught on the rough edge of the broken trim & I see that it is cracking below the chip (area of the arrow in attached photo) & the top corner of the trim is separating from the SS piece ( circled area in attached photo). This should not be happening to an appliance that is less than a year old & only gets used 4 times a week. Is this the quality of workmanship that Whirlpool is putting out on a regular basis? At this rate in a matter of months these trim pieces will be completely gone. No the damage doe not affect the functioning of the range, but I did expect that my “new” appliances would look nice for longer than 9 months! My 20 year old GE that this range replaced barely had any wear to the ceramic top & we were the second owners of the stove! When I was growing up in the 70s Whirlpool was a brand name that you could trust, my grandparents had Whirlpool appliances. But I guess those days have come & gone. It’s sad that a company that built a trusted reputation with the US consumer, whose workers built products with pride for decades, is now producing products that can’t even last a year.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Whirlpool because I had had that brand for 20 years. I realized at the store the quality was not the same as before. The stove works fine but the burner dials are very hard to read from a standing position and the bottom drawer is terrible. I have yet to be able to push it in without having to adjust it.8On my last stove the drawer glided easily. I have come to realize the easy clean stove top isn't as easy as the salesman said. So to be frank--this stove isn't near as good as my 2004 one.

Great stove, horrible port I’ve tape

My husband said if he’d have known about the blue tape he wouldn’t have bought it.. HOURS to remove it.

How may I return this item?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this item in late October 2025. In the last 60 days, the item has chipped/cracked in three places during gentle cleaning. To shed light on usage - We are vegetarians we have used the oven less than six times and the interior light has already burnt out. Today’s date is January 1, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately I thought we had electricity but we only have gas so I couldn't try it out like I really wanted to :( but it has 5 trays inside for the air fryer too combined! Looks absolutely beautiful and has self cleaning which makes it way easier to clean than a normal oven! Super grateful for this oven. 🙏

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the look and style of this stove! It is very easy to clean and it warms up very quickly. I took off one star because I am partial to gas stove’s and because the plug is not included with this stove. I love that it has a warming area because we make alot of food for our large family and an item always seems to get cold. This feature helps with that! Overall it’s a great stove for a great price!
