Still need more than water to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range due to the easy clean stove top. Just need water. While this is true for food stains I had small rings from my pots. I had to use the razor and baking soda method to remove these marks. I would not have paid extra for this new stove top had I known I would be cleaning it like I had to do wi tv the regular stove top. I am disappointed

Total misadvertisement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't used very much yet but the few times I have I can tell you I wouldn't have bought this range knowing about the "wipe clean" stove top. That's a total and complete false advertisement. No way does it just wipe clean with water. I couldn't even get spots of boiling water off the stove top without extensive work. So far not happy AT ALL
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

WipeClean top is fragile, not "true" convection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to replace a GE smooth top range that lasted eleven years. We were looking to replace the GE features, unfortunately GE apparently no longer makes a range with true convection baking, three racks, and a griddle zone. We thought this Whirlpool gave us those options but we were very sadly mistaken. The 7530 does have a griddle zone, we will give it that. Unfortunately, we find that the range is not "true convection" in that it does not "air bake" using three racks per the instructions which indicate a max of two racks. Trying to use the three racks, which the range comes with, was not successful for Christmas cookie baking.
A bigger concern is with the "WipeClean" cooktop, very fragile. We are very unhappy that after minimal use the cooktop already has two blemishes on it. This is with a few weeks use, I can't imagine what it will look like in a few years. After eleven years our GE was showing wear but nothing like what I anticipate with this unit. It seems that the WipeClean technology is actually a very fragile cooking surface that may be of benefit to those who never do any serious cooking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
