On day 9 of this calendar you "build" a box of spare parts. What I mean is that you put some random droid parts into a box. You do not connect any LEGO elements. This is the entire calendar in a nutshell - a box of spare parts. It's so poetic I almost feel like someone at LEGO is trolling us.
We have been buying these calendars every year for as long as we can remember, and have never been close to this disappointed. My wife is threating to organize a class action lawsuit and my son said he would rather squeeze lemon juice in his eyes than keep opening these windows.
Please, LEGO, don't ruin such a fun part of Christmas! At least, my sons managed to make some unhinged droid builds out of it - hopefully the "professionals" can get some inspiration from their genius.

We get this advent every year and it has always been fabulous. This year it is almost entertaining how bad it is. A box, a chair, nothing Christmasy. We keep some items each year and have a big collection that we bring out as decorations and the comparison is stark. So far not a single build will be kept. It is shocking how bad it is. What the heck is going on Lego!?! Probably won’t buy one next year although I am really sad since it is usually an important and fun part of Christmas.

Compared to the set from the last few years this set was very disappointing. The entire set seems based on one scene from the ninth movie. Characters and sets a very lackluster.

Lacking in build and fun

Each year these seem to get worse. Multiple days that have a single small piece/character in them. You used to have an entire Minifig or a mini display to build. If you opened a tiny character it would come with a small build, now you get a single small character piece in multiple days. What a waste. Not only has the price gone up but the builds and pieces have gone down. The only reason we have this one is because a family member bought it for us. Glad I’ve saved older years. We will just do those over since they’re way better. Very disappointing calendar this year.

Come on Lego, I expect more from you and your teams. This was a very poor building experience for my 6 yr old. The daily builds lacked imagination and left the experience empty. We LOVE the Lego Star Wars Advent calendars and this one is the absolute worst. This year missed the mark by a galaxy. It was a bunch of weak robot builds that felt like a cash grab. This set has me questioning if I will seek next year’s calendar or just pass. Dig deep Lego and rethink everything if you want to retain your fan base.

Dear Lego,
What a giant waste of money. We are half way through the month and my son absolutely hates his advent calendar. He went several days without opening the doors knowing full well he would be further disappointed in the contents. Through tears he told me that he never wants another lego. How completely dismayed I am in this product.
