Avoid at all costs

GE took down my other review for speaking truth about their business practices.
It’s impossible to obtain this accessory, so if you haven’t bought a matching AC unit, do yourself a favor and go with something else. I’ll be leaving my real review on every other site I can find the matching AC unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

RAP02 dual Hose conversion Kit Issues

I would like to say I had purchased my A/C unit last year but the RAP02 was not available at that time. A/C unit work well. When I received the RAP02 Kit and installed, Iwas extremely happy with the results. Cooled much more rapidly. my conversion I used the Large Baffle. But I do have some question on the Kit.
1. the Large Baffles has louvers that appears to pull air from the inside room. It looks like the louver area is designed for a Cover or Filter to be added. 1a - Is this something (Cover or Filter) that was missing from my kit? 1b - or are these optional items to be ordered? 1c - If there is not a cover or filter why are the louvers there? 1d - the panel I removed to install the Baffle had a filter built into it, should that filter have been installed in the Baffle (not mentioned in the installation instructions)? 1f - What problems would occur if the louvers on the baffle are covered on the inside?
2. Why was an Input Hose Insulation Cover no provide? the difference between room temperature and outside temperature (outside 108 degrees inside 68 degrees) could be 40 degrees or more.
3.The difference in distance between the input and exhaust Hose Adapter to window kit is approx. 1.5 inches, 3a - How much of the hot exhaust air is being pulled into the intake hose adapter? 3b Do you have an adapter that would direct the hot exhaust away from the Intake Adapter?
Recommendations - 1 If you do not install the dual hose conversion kit, I think purchasing an exhaust insulation cover for the exhaust hose, will improve the efficiency of the unit. 2. I plan on purchasing insulation cover for the Input hose, to improve the efficiency. 3. Some type of filter or screen needs to be added the " Intake Hose adapter to Window Kit" to keep Animals and bugs out.

Good a/c just can't get the conversion kit

I have been waiting for this conversion kit since April. And it's still not available and can not be found. Why say there is a conversion kit available when there's not? I overall like it. I just want the conversion kit to make it more economical

Happened to check back in on this dual hose kit at random and noticed it was back in stock.
Ordered it and delivered just three days afterwards.
Night and day difference compared to the single hose setup. Cools the bedroom fast and doesn’t have to run for nearly as long.
Not incentivized. Just a regular joe that happened to snag one.

Hi, Thanks for your question. The RAP02 is an optional dual hose conversion kit for specific GE portable air conditioners, and it is now available for purchase from Lowe's, both in-store and on-line. The RAP02 is not available through GEA Parts at this time; however, it will be in the future as we build inventory. There is not an exact estimated time of availability though. What are the engineers thinking?

Why is there air vents in the plastic housing That allows a majority of the interior air to be sucked outside? I mean the whole reason I Purchased was to be more efficient!?

Required for GE portable A/C unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my portable GE a/c unit, I noticed that it did cool off my living room area a bit, but it was still warmer then I would have liked. After receiving and installing this dual hose conversion kit, there was an immediate noticeable difference in the temperature. My living room got cooler a lot faster. I took a star off, because honestly, it should have just came with the a/c unit. There is absolutely no reason why this should be sold separately because it really makes a difference in the efficiency of the unit.
