Very easy setup

Very easy to install - plugged it in and both monitors worked out of the box. Next day bought a PNY128 SDXC card, popped it in, and formatted it. Recording looks good so far. Wish the manual was in the box instead of online, but almost every company does the same these days.

I bought the Defender Phoenix M22C product in August 2018, and enjoyed the fast and easy setup for installation. I was very happy with the product, but then in October I needed assistance with understanding why the camera's were starting to glitch periodically, and eventually losing viewing completely. I decided to use the Online Support Live Chat Tool, and I was helped by a representative by the name of Darrielle. I was shocked to how fast I was able to get the assistance and knowledge from someone live. Thank you Darrielle for you help. Downloading and updating the Firmware has so far helped the problem I was having.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this system in April 2018. Easy set up, but the power cords could use some extra length. Would be nice had this system also been mobile accessible too.

This is my second Defender product. So far the PhoenixXM22C works as expected, however the range away from the cameras is limited. The monitor function button names are hard to see and read because of the light gray font on a dark gray background. For several years I have used a Defender 21000 series 4ch-DVR System and have had absolutely no problems with the system. After several years it still works as well as it did new out of the box. Defender is a very dependable product.

Good system for the price

I purchased this unit directly from Defender. It was an open box unit but all the parts were there. The cameras have good video color and resolution. The resolution suffers some in the zoom mode.
We had trouble with the cameras not staying linked to the monitor. I ask for help from the Defender support team. Darrielle responded with a new firmware update that fixed all the problems we were having.
I would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to get a security system that doesn't cost an arm an leg.
