I have looker for a security system for a long time that was not tied into my wifi and when I saw an ad on the Defender. I took a chance and bought the two cam model. Boy, was I glad how easy it was to install. One of the best thing that I liked was the small cable easy to work with. It made it easy to tempotry try different locations until I was happy with the best location to cover my house. I first mounted one camera on a small board that I could move to the different spots to view the coverage, then I mounted my cameras permantaly. I am very happy with the video quality it suits my needs and I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for a security system, I am 79 years old and happy I didn't have to crawl through the attic to run cables. I will probably be adding another camera for the back yard to complete my security system.
We purchased this wireless system to replace our old First Alert that we had for years. We live on a farm, so the cameras are placed in the maternity pens which are about 250 ft away from our house. We get great reception, clear pictures and we like the added speaker to be able to talk back to someone. The monitor is easy to work, setup and the picture is very clear. Hopefully this system endures the weather etc for years to come like our last one.
I bought the phoenixM22C because I have another Defender 4 camera system but was still not catching certain areas of the property. This one records those areas perfectly. Nice thing is I can still add 2 more cameras if needed. The big test will be our extreme summer heat we get here.
I bought this about a year ago and I didn't know if it was up to the Canadian climate. So far its taking 30 above to -40 high wind and hail .I'm impressed and set up was easy but would be nice to be able to review on the monitor.
