Good system for the price!

Been running this system since late February, 2017 and haven't been disappointed. The Phoenix has excellent picture quality - day or night, is very easy to set up, records to an SDHC card (win!) and allows you to hear and speak to people in the camera area (friends say it sounds like I'm standing there). Many high end systems do not have these features.
You cannot hook it up to your TV and I haven't found that to be an issue. It's limitations are distance of camera to monitor when the signal has to go quite a distance and through several walls. But that might be fixable with a higher DB gain camera antenna. Haven't tried that yet. The fourth camera arrived today if that tells you anything. I gave it 5 stars because there were no surprises and I knew what it could do due to pre-purchase research. Nice job Defender!

An excellent security aid

I just acquired the camera very recently and operated the unit 24/7 for days. I'm very satisfied with its performance and decided to upgrade the memory card to 128GB.

The monitor is very user friendly with extremely clear recording. We like the rotating screen and updates. The range is very far.

Perfectly sized for small home use

Had it in place for several days and am very pleased with performance. I wanted wireless that was simple and efficient and this fit the bill perfectly. Easy to set up and easy to install. Only issue is the oversensitive "OK" button, but not a showstopper.

What took me so long!

Bought this about 3 weeks ago. I had been mulling about getting a system for years, but did not want to have to be a monthly subscription usage fee. Starting checking online for a system to purchase outright for my own home use and came across the defender. It was the only one with amazing reviews for the wireless system. So I took my chance and ordered. Have not regretted it once.This was up and running in less than 5 minutes to test it. About an hour to hook up outside and run the cord inside the house once I decided when to place the 2 cameras. I live by myself and like to know who is in my back driveway before they come knocking at my door or use it for a turn around. Love the mic feature!!! love the split screen, I can watch both front and back driveways without having to look out my widow, I can sit there and watch the 7in monitor. I would say that the menu button is a little oversensitive as well but You don't need it, you need the camera, so it is not a deal breaker. Love Love Love it. I am so pleased that I made the purchase and feel so much better being home alone.

Easy physical installation.

Fairly easy to start operating, even for elderly folk like us who know nothing about such devices. Range of detection could be a little better,as our cameras are quite high above ground level. The one in the back yard had no trouble talking to the control from about 60 feet.I think we feel much more comfortable knowing they are there.

Easy setup and installation!

Our new PHOENIXM2 was delivered yesterday and the setup was easy breezy! We live in the country and have one camera pointed at the front of our house and one garage, the other camera is pointed at the back of the house and another garage. It's nice the moniter can handle up to 4 cameras because we will purchase another camera to point down the driveway to get a good head-on view. Very pleased with our purchase due to ease of operation, price, and peace of mind.
