Setup was fairly easy but would have been easier if the operating manual had been in the box.

Secruity camera set

So far the camera security system is doing as it stated very good set. The only problem, is when I unplug the monitor it went off. I thought it has a battery in it to work so long without being plug into the outlet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy set up

I purchased this system a few days ago and it is meeting my security needs. It was easy to install and has clear pictures. It would be great if it had a battery for those times when electric goes out and for convenience in placing cameras. This is my 3rd Defender Security System for three different locations and I have been pleased with all of them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Received this system a few days ago and today was set up day (but didn't take long at all) which amounted to a couple of hours. I was expecting possible problems with an economy model, but was pleasantly surprised. Have not had a chance for night vision capabilities but am anticipating. This system could be five stars if it has longevity. As with other reviews I am also absent any kind of operating manual and would like one if possible. Even an on-line manual would be appreciated.

Awesome Security System

Was being terrorized by the neighborhood thugs, they kept trying to get into my home while my kids and I were sleeping, in the early am and so we started sleeping in shifts... They were aggressive and didn't care about the security system, they started trying to get in during the daylight hours also. So I purchased the defender surveillance system, and all attacks have ceased for now... I thought that I needed a pro to install it, but it was very simple, and easy. The picture is very clear, I love the intercom, and the night vision exceeds my expectations. I will be purchasing three additional cameras in the near future to complete my system!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Camera System!

Well the picture is perfect in daylight and very good at night (as good as much more expensive systems as I have tried a few). Set up, there was none. Ease of use, not much to it you just have to read the name on the button. One thing to be careful when installing: the install guide says you can mount in on the roof if you want, but in fine print at the top it says the camera is not water proof so it must be mounted under cover. Due to the temp. here going down to -47*F I built a 2" styro foam box behind my facia board and installed a receptacle for it up there. One problem I just found, if you just unplug the monitor without turning it off you will lose the camera (well I keep it beside my bed at night but my wife wants to keep an eye on things in the day time so I move the monitor daily). To get the camera back (paired up again), you just have to unplug the camera and turn on the monitor, then plug in the camera. You do not need to pair the camera. I figured this out before I spent a few hours getting my camera out of the box to pair!
