[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome phone. It's definitely a good improvement from last year the new design makes gaming better and holding it. It is also more comfy. One ui 7 is awesomely smooth too. The bluetooth being removed from the S Pen is a little bit disappointing though but the phone is still good.

Don't Waste Your Money

So, I have had the Samsung Galaxy s21 base model before but I didn't realize how great the Ultra models were till I traded my Samsung Galaxy s21 in for the Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra. I got my Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra a few months after it released. Let me tell you, this phone is MAGNIFICENT!! It's the perfect combination of the S Lineup and The Note Lineup, all built into one phone. Perfecto!
I have been waiting for the Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra for years now. Knowing that the Samsung Galaxy s23 Ultra wasn't a huge departure from the s22 Ultra, I decided to keep it and wait. Now that I have seen what the new Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra offers, there isn't really a leap here. It's actually a few steps back.
-Features
-Design
-Minor tweaks
-Minor Hardware Upgrades
You could argue that the new S Series lineup is worse than the s20 or s21 Lineup. The new platform looks horrendous and actually feels like a cheap knockoff to a premium platform.
The Samsung Galaxy s25 Ultra is a downgrade to me. I don't want to lose features I already have on my Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra for a trade in on a product that doesn't come close to what I already have. You removed the curved screen(it was what made your phones depart from the crowd. It gave the phone an identity. Now the Ultra looks like a LG Stylo 6 with some premium features. Mind you, I haven't used the phone but I have seen it and I don't see the big deal. Bland, boring and not much of a leap.
The customers complained about the square shape of the s22, s23 and s24 models. They said it would dig into their hands and to them I say, don't get a large phone if your hands are tiny, or at least use a popsocket. The same people whom complain about things like this are the same people whom can't hold a 6.8" phone with one hand. My whole palm covers the screen. The phone was great the way it was but you screwed it up.
I'll keep my Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra and all the features it has. Bluetooth S Pen features, Hardware is still incredibly good, it still is fast, has a great camera, curved screen, amazing screen resolution, etc.
Samsung, next time you release a premium phone in the S lineup, make sure that you bring what you built from the past, all-in-one. The features that defined what people loved about your phones. At this point, the S Pen is useless and you might as well remove it, or just bring the Galaxy Note back.
I currently have the Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy s23 base model. The s23 is my work phone. Both great phones but the s22 Ultra was way beyond its time as far as it pertains to design.
With that said, if any of you have an s22 Ultra or s23 Ultra, just keep your phones and don't waste your money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A powerful phone for those that want one
on February 16, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. The phone has much better, less aggressive shape design in comparison to 2024's model. I think it pays homage to the Samsung A5 actually.
2. I love the camera and the quality. Better than what's on the market. 200 MP is simply amazing.
3. Now Brief is a good addition so far, helps with the minimalism we all seek on the lock screen. It could be a tad more useful when I expand it though, it seems to really be a little bit more of a weather app
4. Implementation of the new One UI is excellent. It makes things more succint regarding icons in the taskbar and whatnot
5. It fits nicely in male pockets, it's a delight to hold (due to its metal finish).
5. Stylus should've been bluetoothed
6. The phone does feel a little bit heavy and sore to hold after some time
7. Would've been awesome to have fingerprint recognition all over the screen or on a large portion of the screen's bottom half
8. The incorporation of AI is definitely a plus, but needs some work. Gemini works decently on the phone but it's not quite a true assistant, as it is more so just a really good search engine.
9. Translation of calls is a really good and welcome feature!
10. Screen quality and screen size is phenomenal. Same goes with the fast charging feature and battery use. Very impressive.
Overall, a high quality, flagship smartphone.
