Light weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great. It’s powerful and very light to carry. I use it all around my home. On the stairs on the window sills with one of the attachments. And in my pickup. The battery is good also.

Good little handheld vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, we are very happy with the D8 car and boat vacuum. It’s lightweight, portable, and can tackle just about everything you would expect in a handheld vacuum. The suction and battery life is also sufficient for small jobs. If there were any improvements, I wished it would have come with a dock to mount on the wall and the hair screw tool for tackling pet hair.

Bulky size for a handheld vaccum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Currently have a Dyson V12 slim and a Dyson V11. Both can be converted to a handheld vacuum, which I frequently use for sofa and stair carpet. The Dyson Car+Boat is a good device if you do not own an upright vacuum without a conversion to handheld. As a stand-alone, it is a bit bulky to use in tight spaces, i.e., between furniture and around corners. I rather use the compact, slim and tubular handheld device that you see in the ads. The Dyson Car+Boat handheld is Ok, however, will probably use it infrequently.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Powerful little machine

All the different attachments have their place for use and they all work great. Emptying the bucket is easy and mess free.

HAND-HELD VACCUM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the V-8 hand held vacuum. I believe it's supposed to be for cars and boats, but it works just as well to pick up small jobs around the house. I was a little disappointed that it wasn't a little smaller. The hand held part is the same design as my V-10 regular vacuum without (some of the same) accessories. Using this in my car, the hand held part is a little bulky in tight spaces, and after awhile it gets a 'little heavy'' to keep holding especially while holding-in the 'on' button. However, it still works well using the brush accessory for the seats, trunk floor, and the passenger side floor. The suction is not as strong as I'd like- for a car, but it's fine in the house for small, pick-up jobs. I think the hand-held part should be smaller/thinner - especially for cars/recreational vehicles. The 'normal' speed should have 2x more suction power so the 'MAX" suction power is used less and thus preserving the battery time. Using it on MAX continuously, the battery runs out in about 10 minutes. Using it continuously on 'normal' (min) speed/suction the battery lasts about 25mts. Overall I love Dyson products and this is a good device; however, with just a few minor size and suction adjustments (if possible) this hand-held device can be twice as nice and work even more effective.

Dyson V8 Car & Boat - Excellent Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Car and Boat V8 is an excellent vacuum cleaner that was able to get into some tight spots on our car and deliver superior results over our previous handheld cleaner from a different manufacturer. It's easy to empty and lasts absolutely ages. It's also helpful that the unit can be used as a household portable vacuum cleaner as well which for apartment living is really helpful and the unit does not take up much space.

Satisfyingly Easy To Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this machine almost a month ago, the attachments have made cleaning my car really easy. I own two pets and they can shed a lot which makes my car seats really hairy and dusty. This helped on cleaning my car really easy. The only con is that the vacuum is a little heavy which can cause trouble to some people. The battery life was just enough to give my car a quick clean. Overall this saved me a lot of time in cleaning my vehicle, to which instead of going to the car wash, I can easily do everything at home.
