This is an easy install and works better than other IP security cameras. It would be nice to have the Defender cameras to work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home for smart home features which other camera vendors have it.

Best Image we ever had

The daytime images are crystal clear and detailed. The night vision is very good close to the house but a bit blurry farther away. That's the same as most other systems. The motion detectors are very sensitive. We had a good laugh because the alarm would go off for our backyard saying a human was detected. It ended up being our smoker with the cover flapping in the wind. After moving it a little, everything was fine.
The app works well and you can handle most of the NVR functionality from it.
The only thing we miss is 2-way sound cameras. We would have used those in place of the 2 pointing at our doors. We would recommend this system to anyone wanting good day & night coverage for your home or business.

Fantastic Camera System! Excellent picture quality

I purchased this system to upgrade my old camera system. The picture quality is top notch during day or night vision. The audio was also an upgrade as my old system did not have any audio capability. The app is also very powerful and quick. The ability to see, monitor and make changes from my phone is very convenient. I love this system and would recommend this and purchase this again.

Fantastic DIY NVR

My overall impression of the 8 Channel 4K Sentinel NVR is very good. The system came well packaged with each camera packaged in it's own box. It was a breeze to setup with the cameras truly being plug and play. The NVR and accompanying app were configured within 10 minutes of unboxing. By far the most difficulty is running your cables to your camera locations. Take your time and plan where you'd like your cameras and the routes you have access to for the cable runs! The image quality of the cameras is fantastic and far surpasses the wireless cameras I used previously. The accompanying app is intuitive and easy to use. I was surprised at how little bandwidth this system uses. There are many options which can be configured around motion detection, notifications and schedules. Setting up and using this system has been a great experience and has provided a lot of value in a nice DIY package.
