Nice Camera System

Giving it 4 stars because it is a good system with nice quality cameras but:
1. It came with a faulty Cat5e cable, it has power but no connection is detected.
2. The human body alarm is faulty when camera is set on an angle, I have one installed at my porch area and it keeps thinking the tree or even my front door mat is a human body..
3. The night vision light can be a bit annoying sometimes, I don't think I've found a promising solution to have it turned off completely or not that sensitive.

4K NVR

Replaced my old nightowl bnc system with this one. Great upgrade. Picture quality is a whole lot nicer. The app to see what is going on at home while your gone is great as well. System looks well made. Cameras have some weight to them and feel like good quality. Forewarning the nvr was set to human detection at first start up and does beep if there is anyone outside in the camera field of view. Kinda scared the bajesus out of us.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Powerful easy to use system can can't be beat.

We've had this system installed since the beginning of October and I could not be happier. Everything took about 8 hours to install properly and everything looks great.
The quality of the video far exceeds my last system. The colors are sharp and the details are crisp and clear. I've got 6 of the camera's outside and they are able to cover everything that I need it two. The other two cameras I have inside pointing at my doors so that I can see who is coming and going. Being able to view the camera's in real time using the app has been extremely useful, especially while expecting deliveries or watching the driveway to see when my kids come home. Anything that you can do with the recording unit (NVR) you can do with the app, and I don't think I've had to plug the NVR into my TV for a while now after discovering how powerful the app is.
Everything records in 4k and with audio so you can hear whats going on as well. I don't record 24/7, so I only have the motion and human detection turned on. Notifications are recorded in the app as well with a thumbnail, and when you click it you are taken right to that time so you can view the event on the player.
If you need a system, you can't go wrong with this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is an incredible system. The image quality is great, set up was simple and its working extremely well for us! The system comes complete with everything needed and all looks to be very high quality product. We are thrilled with this system!

Can't connect to a real person

Bought a four camera eight port system, thinking I could add extra cameras later, Cant buy extra cameras. Defender lost a customer. I'll be upgrading with a different company that will sell extra cameras.
