Good Camera Performance

I recently installed the two camera system. The camera performance was good in both daylight and night conditions. It would be nice to get a manual with the unit instead of having to download it. Being able to flip the camera image would allow for more mounting options as well.

I was having problems with a monitor and placed a call to support and I received excellant response from Suzanne she was both pleasant and very helpful. I ending up having to send back my monitor and a new was in my hands within the week. Suzanne even arranged to get me a firmware upgrade for my other monitor.

EASY SET UP

I bought the two camera system and two additional cameras. The additional cameras were a snap to pair with the monitor. Good clear picture. Picks up the wireless signal from a distance with no problem.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too Many Problems

Before giving a negative review, I must state that the support I received from Daniela, Suzanne, and the entire CWD team has been outstanding. I purchased my first system in October 2016, and it worked great for the first 16 months, then I started receiving out of range messages, I contacted customer support and they sent me a firmware file to install in the Monitor. Shortly after installing, I started having problems with recording, the alarm would go off when motion was detected but no recording was made. Also, living in the Northeast the Winter had an effect on the camera and I would lose all signals. The warranty had expired so I purchased another system not knowing whether the problem was with the camera or the monitor. After installation I found that the camera malfunctioned due to the cold so every week or so I would swap out the cameras, bring the problem camera indoors so it could warm up, and when the same problem occurred, I would swap them out again. My mistake with the new Monitor was installing the Firmware program I had previously received. Within a few days, I once again started having problems with recording. I contacted support, told them the issue, mentioned that I did not have the problem until the Firmware was installed. I saved the images or lack of images on the SD card and returned the complete system. I received an entire new system within a week after they received my defected unit. CONCLUSION: Out of the two (2) units I purchased within an 18 month period, I have one system that is useless. This coming Winter, when the camera will not function properly due to the cold, i will not have one to swap out, so i will have to wait a day or so for the camera to warm up and function again. The swapping out is a pain, but it's the only thing that works. The problem is, based on my original camera, after a while the cold must have an effect on the camera and it eventually will no longer pair with the monitor. Once the current replacement system starts malfunctioning, I will no longer waste my time with returns or purchasing a replacement monitor or camera, I will look for another system. This is a nice system when it works properly, easy set-up, great picture in B&W and Color, many great features, plugs in instead of using batteries like other makes, if only it lasted.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I researched these things, read their ads, their specs, their reviews, and thought I found what I needed. I ordered two. They came and we're easy to set up. I just plugged them in and they worked beautifully but there was no instruction manual so after installing I went online to find out how to work the "controls". There in tiny print in a footnote it says "not for direct exposure to water, rain or snow", "not waterproof" so now I either have to use them indoors or build shelters for them. Not good when the manual is telling people to mount them on their roof and such. I suppose they are not covered by warantee if you do mount them on the roof, get wet and die. Not nice withholding things like that, people!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had this a few days now and so far its AWESOME!!! Easy to install. Easy to set up.Day vision is great. Night vision is good but not great. For a beginner security system it is a great deal.
