I just acquired the camera very recently and operated the unit 24/7 for days. I'm very satisfied with its performance and decided to upgrade the memory card to 128GB.
Been running this system since late February, 2017 and haven't been disappointed. The Phoenix has excellent picture quality - day or night, is very easy to set up, records to an SDHC card (win!) and allows you to hear and speak to people in the camera area (friends say it sounds like I'm standing there). Many high end systems do not have these features.
You cannot hook it up to your TV and I haven't found that to be an issue. It's limitations are distance of camera to monitor when the signal has to go quite a distance and through several walls. But that might be fixable with a higher DB gain camera antenna. Haven't tried that yet. The fourth camera arrived today if that tells you anything. I gave it 5 stars because there were no surprises and I knew what it could do due to pre-purchase research. Nice job Defender!
This is the second system I bought, the first one I installed at my sons Navy Sea Cadets Station do to things going missing, they operate on a very low budget and can't easily replace the items, this system stop the pilfering , this one I installed at my home as I travel a lot and like having the security. Both systems took less than an hour to get up and running.
