Fine, easy to install system

This system has worked perfectly since I installed it two months ago. It was easy to install and set up. Since I'm a skeptical engineer, I bought a single camera system to see how well it worked and if it functioned as advertised. It does. I plan to buy more cameras and possibly another system.

Simple quick setup and use

Very easy set up. The monitor is very clear and sharp, night vision is a little less but you still can make out the shapes.

Super Easy Set-Up

Installed Defender PhoenixM22C 2 week ago. Love the NO wifi needed! Had other security systems and hated the wifi. It was always going in and out.

Out Of Range

I purchased the PHOENIXM22C and am dissapointed with the picture as it is not in HD. Perhaps I overlooked this when I purchased. The picture is not very clear as it is a VGA picture. I had pictured a different brand and it is crystal clear. Further, the system goes out of range easily. This camera is set up no more than 50 feet from camera to monitor and continually goes out of range at frequent intervals. I wish there was some way to adjust this as the monitor is suppose to be in range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this camera system for my mom after my dad passed away since she now live alone. It works great, easy to maneuver around the main unit and the picture quality is amazing. It gives her and me peace of mind knowing that her home is now protected by such a great product. Thanks!

horrible customer service and follow-up/contact

purchased product through another popular vendor(with extended warranty) to see if it would be a great system for the 9 commercial building & 2 apartment buildings I recently received via the will/final wishes of a loved one; units were working great & I was in the process of purchasing the larger units for all the buildings when I returned to initial install area & noticed 1 of the cameras hanging & down(there were a few days of unseasonal weather in the area, so could have been the problem) & the side screw that's connected to the base was broken & on the ground; trying to return & replace was a joke; web site continually crashed & when I did get a solid connection it only offered tech support through chat; chatted with Rep Susanne who promised she would email a link to solve all the issues & problems; the only email I received was the wording of our on-line "chat"; after I finally discovered a telephone # through research via the web, daily attempts(almost every hour) were made to contact & actually speak with someone with no success; finally EARLY one morning I spoke with a Rep Mike, who said he was the only Mike in the company(no Rep I.D.# for reference); he was short mannered & his tone was as if he could care less about any problems I encountered; he also, I'm hopeful, said he would contact me & resend the info with instructions regarding returns, I'm still waiting; so after I can't even remember how many attempts, I contacted the vendor I purchased the item through & within 10 minutes & while still on the telephone with them I received an email & all things were set in motion for me to return the defective system & receive compensation; the vendor I purchased it through expedited this within 15-20 minutes, I received a return postage paid label & full compensation & guess what DEFENDER it only took less than 20 minutes!!! will NEVER EVER EVER!! NEVER!!!!!!!!! purchase any products made or sold from DEFENDER company EVER!!!!!! as a matter of fact i purchased all of the systems I required for all buildings & my home from the same vendor who was so helpful, respectful & prompt but I purchased another company's systems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
