The cat5 cables that came with the equipment is garbage and is not connectorized for 568A or B standard.

Good quality camera, easy to install. Design needs more flexibility to position anywhere and see image upright. Also gets a lot of false positive “human detection” even though we turned sensitivity to Low.

We've had this system installed since the beginning of October and I could not be happier. Everything took about 8 hours to install properly and everything looks great.
The quality of the video far exceeds my last system. The colors are sharp and the details are crisp and clear. I've got 6 of the camera's outside and they are able to cover everything that I need it two. The other two cameras I have inside pointing at my doors so that I can see who is coming and going. Being able to view the camera's in real time using the app has been extremely useful, especially while expecting deliveries or watching the driveway to see when my kids come home. Anything that you can do with the recording unit (NVR) you can do with the app, and I don't think I've had to plug the NVR into my TV for a while now after discovering how powerful the app is.
Everything records in 4k and with audio so you can hear whats going on as well. I don't record 24/7, so I only have the motion and human detection turned on. Notifications are recorded in the app as well with a thumbnail, and when you click it you are taken right to that time so you can view the event on the player.
If you need a system, you can't go wrong with this one.

Delivery was on time and nicely packaged.. I have not installed the units yet as I am still taking down my exciting security system, The only issue I would change is the massive weather guards that is on each camera input wire, when installing them on a wall or bulkhead you are forced to drill a 3/4" or larger hole just to get the wire through.. This is a major hole and takes a good sized drill leaving wall damage. The only option is having every camera using a junction box which is clumsy.

You changed your hookup technology, this new system can't be run in parallel with my previous Defender system. That's of little consequence, I'll run them side by side, but it wouldn't have been nice to have had a certain consistency.
Regardless, I'm a kern patron of your technology, and will be buying more as my business grows.

Great quality 4k camera system

Bought this system for my garage area and Alley. I had the last model for my house and was pretty happy with it, great picture, good value, nice iphone app.
This new model has all the things I liked about the last model, but upgraded software on the NVR box. Its easier to setup, the interface looks sleeker, and setup process was faster. Most of the time I check the alerts and views on my iphone app, and it can show you all the motion alerts with a nice little link that takes you to the right spot in your recording, from there you can watch, skip back or forward to get more context.
I like the look of the cameras, they feel pretty sturdy, and you can set them up to have a security light type response, or go more stealth with just the infrared option. Setting that up took a bit of poking around in the menu, but now that its setup, I have it setup differently per camera, which is nice. I like that I can add up to 4 additional cameras if I need later, 4 was enough for my needs now though.
I also really like the POE format, power of ethernet, which means one cable sends power and picture/sound signals, no need for extra wires, and you can use most any cat5 type ethernet cable (this comes in handy if you need to setup outlet plates and a few dis-connectable wires). Another bonus to having this wired system is its harder for thieves to use wireless camera disrupters to block signals.
II was already able to get footage right off my phone for a neighbor when someone broke into their adjacent property to send to the police.
