[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Happy with purchase. Control board very sensitive, wish we could control touch sensitivity. Example when closing the door I touch the fan or light control without meaning to. Other than having to adjust to that the microwave is good.

I'm not sure how Kitchen Aid actually released this on the public. The controls are atrocious. The delay between button push and acknowledgement is probably the worst I've ever experienced in my life, and I've tested developmental versions of human/machine interfaces for decades. A truly hateful interface. The lag leads to pushing the buttons again, and then getting a double push. You end up in a loop of frustration and sorrow just trying to get the ventilation or light adjusted. KA did push a software update that helped a little, but I'd say this is still in beta test mode. On the bright side, it is really expensive for what you get /s.
The ventilation works well and the microwave itself does a good job of evenly heating food.
If you do buy this thing think of it as an investment in improving your patience. Better yet, pick a different microwave and use your morning commute to improve your patience.
