The stone does not get

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stone does not get hot enough unless the burner is full blast-and with the burner on full blast the top burns before the pizza is done. When lowering the temperature to cook a pizza for 6-8 minutes, the stone does not get hot enough to properly cook the bottom of the pizza. It also does not retain the stone temperate between cooks so cooking multiple/many pizzas requires a lot of temperature management and waiting for the stone to reheat.

I’m two cooks in and

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m two cooks in and have had two very nice outcomes. I’ve used a combination of lump charcoal and oak, finding the charcoal provides most of the heat and the oak creates rolling flames to perfectly cook the top. I make my own Neapolitan dough and the Ooni gets up to over 900 and the stone 850+. I transported the whole setup and brought the experience to family.

A great upgrade from my Karu 12

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I’m enjoying this oven, although it still takes at least 30 minutes to completely heat up, and about 15 to reheat between pizzas. I’m happy with my upgrade and am looking forward to doing even more in this oven, since it has more space and a door.

Fun and easy!

Really liking our Ooni Karu Pro 2 so far. It cooks a great pizza in 2 minutes. It does take us 30 minutes to get to 850°F though. I tried to bake sourdough bread in it but I could not easily control the proper temperature. It takes practice!
