Bought 2 for my kids. Very happy with them. Are buying propane adapter because wood is nice flavor but produces ash

Great holiday gift

We’ve only used the wood option, but it’s fantastic. You have to k ow how to build a fire and work the vents but once that was understood, it’s pretty easy. The phone app makes monitoring the oven convenient. We had to line our plastic outdoor table with protection because even a hot tray from the grill melts it, so we need to figure out a better system this spring. We also had to purchase the propane tubing separately because the kit came with natural gas tubing. But we’ve used it 3 times for pizza parties and we look forward to learning how to cook bread, steak, and other items in it.

I've only seasoned it and used it once. So far so good but really struggling to Get it to its max temp and or maintain a designated temperature.

Love my Karu 2 Pro

Upgraded from my 6 year old UUNI pizza oven. Impressed with the upgrade and the ease of setup and use.
First couple of cooks down and this is much easier to use and provides more control over temperature and fuel options.
My old oven was great and used pellets that I had to refill multiple times. When I would take the door off to check my pies, flames would shot out the back.
My new oven is much softer and using lump charcoal and wood chunks, it is much easier to keep the temperature and no dangerous flames. The over door being glass eliminates the need to open multiple times to check how my pies are cooking. The oven also eliminated some of the blackening of the rim of my crust. The deflector and flames are inches above not directly on top of my pies. Can’t wait to explore using the cast iron grill pan for wings and steaks.

Fast Heat, Great Looks, and Excellent Heat Retention

The Ooni Karu 2 Pro (2nd Generation) looks fantastic and heats up incredibly fast. It reaches high temperatures quickly, and the stone does an excellent job holding heat between pizzas.
I’m still working out a few kinks as I prefer an ultra-thin, crispy crust, so I’m dialing in the “sweet spot” temperature—but that’s more about technique than the oven itself. Overall, very impressed with the performance and build quality. A great oven once you learn its rhythm. 🍕🔥
