Excellent build. Instructions are slightly too basic, but I guess that's not too bad.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got myself the T. rex fossil last week and was able to finish it in 3 days. At first I was a bit nervous about how difficult the build would be but as I kept going I was extremely happy to be able to put everything together with no problems at all! The build is fairly straightforward and the fossil itself is actually very stable on the base and is pretty big! Don't worry if you need to move it just pick it up by the two columns and you'll see just how stable it is--it's an awesome display piece as well, I plan on putting it in a case and proudly displaying it.
The only reason I'm giving this 4/5 stars is because there was a piece missing from one of the bags (bag #20 piece #6089119), luckily I had 3/4 of the required pieces for that particular step which involved assembling the skull and I was able to eventually attach it to the spine no problem but I do wish I would have been able to use all the required pieces.
Beautiful kit. Bought it for sentimental value. (One of my deceased wife’s favorite movie franchises) Still wish the cost would come down. I know Lego is a multibillion dollar profit company and I feel like they can ease off their profit margin a bit. I want to stay loyal and I really don’t want to start buying off brand kits… but for more than 2/3 off the price of Lego… I may not have a choice. Blue dot in a red state.
This was a great build. A lot of small pieces, but not as difficult to build compared to the Taj Mahal, or the Statue of Liberty. The frame is sturdy enough to handle the length of the T-Rex. Worth the money and looks AWESOME once it’s completed!
I was impressed with the size, yet how simple a build. Every step was set up so there was no confusion how everything was placed. Was displeased with the quality co troll of the manual, as the third book had pages out of sequence, upside down, backwards, and step 18 appeared to be missing. But luckily I had the Lego Builder app and was about to smooth get through those issues.
