Don’t love the carafe

I love all the features of this 4-in-1! Granted, I’ve only used the brewing portion, but the steamer and single pod side for espresso or k-cups is ingenious. I will say the carafe would be better if the top just hinged open instead of having to snap it off, and because the water reservoir lid only opens 90 degrees, it can be tricky to pour water in there from the carafe without spilling. I don’t use the faucet hose like many do I use filtered water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pod side not great.

Reviewing my replacement, the pod side works when it wants to. Had the 1st one replaced because I wasn't able to get the pod side to make much more than light brown colored water. The replacement is slightly better in that it sometimes makes an actual cup of coffee, it might be on the 4th attempt/pod, but better than nothing I guess. Tried the full pot side twice and it seems to work fine. Tried the expresso pod a couple of times and it seems to work ok, although the expresso shot didn't seem very hot but I'm not sure if that's normal. The pod side just like the first unit, the water pretty much goes around the pod and makes a mess. Even in the random time it works I'm not sure how because when taking the done pod out you have to be careful because the pod is full to the top with hot water. The punctured holes in the pod seem sufficient enough for water to pass through so I think it's a design flaw. I don't have time in the early morning to fuss with it so I put it back in the box and brought up my old Cuisinart machines that work great. Kinda bummed because this unit would free up space on the counter.

The marketing is misleading. It says it makes espresso, when in fact it’s just using a different pod.
It makes good brewed and pod coffee, but not an espresso maker.

Great coffee, solid espresso pour, Bad K-Cup brew

The coffee pot and espresso portion of this machine work perfectly!
The K-Cup portion overflows or doesn't pour right every single time. I have to open it and close the chamber 2-3 times, rotating the K-cup each time, making sure it's properly punctured every single time. If I do not take these extra 2-3 steps, I get a cup of hot semi tinted water, and ruin the K-Cup.
If this is how it is suppose to be, then I will change my review. It seems I should be able to drop the K-Cup, close the chamber (1 time), press brew, and be done.

We are so happy with our new coffee maker. The milk frother works great, though the angle gets some getting used to. We found some reusable pods for the espresso and single cup makers that also work well.

We always had a cuisinart coffee maker for as long as I can remember. Although the one we were using was still good (they are built to last!) , we were looking for an upgrade. This machine is great! The regular brewed coffee taste better and is piping hot. The K- cup function is wonderful. But my favorite part is the espresso feature. We have become creative making our afternoon espresso drinks- from plain americanos (yes, the hot water is hot!) to cappuccinos and lattes. It really is my favorite thing ever! And it’s one machine in my counter, taking up much less space.
I would recommend this to a friend!
