First the good, the coffee is brewed uniformly and the brew temp must be more uniform than my prior coffee makers as it leads to a great cup of coffee. Now the not so great, there is an issue with the carafe and when you pour coffee it often spillls down the actual carafe. Secondly, it’s a process to clean and the bean holder tends to stay wet leading to a more challenging clean up job. It’s frustrating because I really wanted to be an awesome product but for me it’s just 3 stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The coffee maker looks great. I like having the option to use whole bean or ground coffee. The coffee I've made tastes great so it appears this coffee maker is hitting the ideal temp for brewing although I haven't measured if with a thermometer. Only two minor annoyances: you will need the manual to figure out how to set the time. This wouldn't be a big deal except for the fact that the coffee maker will start beeping if you trying to run it without all the parts seated properly. Unfortunately, reseating the parts doesn't make the beeping go away. I need to unplug it and plug it back in, which means I need to reprogram the time again.
