Really like the look of this coffeemaker. It's sleek and doesn't take up much counter space. I love that it could replace my other grinder, saving even more space! That said, it doesn't allow for many beans which doesn't make a pot of freshly brewed coffee, only a few cups. (Unless I just like my coffee THAT strong, which is possible!). It's easy to use, despite all the moving parts. I do think the carafe feels cheap, though. I've had other Cuisinart coffeemakers before and this carafe isn't as heavy duty. The lid is flimsy plastic that doesn't click into place easily. Other than that, it's well made and my coffee tastes great!

Like the coffeemaker, hate the carafe lid-it does not stay on the carafe firmly causing water… or hot coffee to pour everywhere. Took the same model back to store for the same reason. Seems to be a defect. Would like a carafe w/lid that stays on replacement

I was so excited to get this coffeemaker for Christmas since it has a built in grinder and I really dislike grinding coffee. However, the grinder is insanely loud and scary that we don't use it which was the main reason I wanted it. It's also a lot to clean as you have to clean the grinder and the basket and since the basket is a bit smaller than others and has a lid on it, both lid and basket also have to be cleaned. Also the lid to the pot has to be taken off to fill the pot and is not real easy to put back on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My boyfriend wanted a coffeemaker that grinds the beans and after reading the specs and reviews of the few brands that offer those features, I decided to get him this one. He loves his coffee very hot and is very pleased with the temp brewed with this coffeemaker. Some reviewers have mentioned an issue with getting the lid to the pot to clip back in place, but we haven’t had an issue with that. The only reason that I give it 4 stars and not 5 is because we can’t seem to figure out how to get the program set to grind and brew in the mornings. We end up having to press the button each time, but that’s not a big deal.
