Fresh ground coffee is the best! After 8 years our previous machine quit, bought the new one, look forward to many more years of great coffee. The grinder is loud, but worth it.

The brewer works fine. Unfortunately, the grinder is way beyond loud to use for early morning wakeup even when expected. Plus, the grinder cannot be removed when brewing ground coffee or the brewer cannot be programmed. So the grinder collects a lot of moisture requiring a wipe down after each use so it will not breed any type of mold or possibly add a bad taste to the brew. The grinder application is very impractical and not well thought out by Cuisinart, or it may be that there's some kinds of patent restrictions from other makers that make for such a badly thought-out grinder. I would suggest that Cuisinart find a way to brew ground coffee with not needing to have the grinder attached and to lessen the noise of the grinder.

The coffee maker is great for brewing coffee. However, the cleaning process on the grinder is time consuming so I really don’t use this method. But this was the sole reason for my purchase. Overall it’s a great little coffee maker.

Water somehow gets onto the burner plate and sizzles with every brew. Also, the carafe dribbles with every pour. When we replaced the carafe with an older one, problem solved.
