Autogrind should be off by default. I like fresh ground beans but my wife keeps buying preground. She'll forget to turn grind off when setting timer. Hence, the disappointment of not tasting freshly ground after hearing the whirrrrrrrr. 😞 Darn Pavlo & his laws.

We are enjoying this Grind & Brew Coffeemaker but honestly the older model we had previously was more convenient to use. We were able to fill the bean bin less often and had the beans ground and the coffee brewed as we like it every time. The coffeemaker we have now requires a setup each time.

This is my second Cuisinart Grind and brew coffeemaker. I have enjoyed fresh brewed & bean ground black coffee for over half a century. I broke my carafe on my last one and found a replacement at a terrific price. As a retired homeowner with lots of projects I make a 6 cup, pot every morning and enjoy half the pot while planning my day. Clean up is a breeze and the coffeemaker features are easy to use.
