This coffee maker makes great coffee. But be aware the grinder in this machine is VERY loud! It only runs for like 30 seconds but it’s a

This unit is a replacement for an older model Cuisinart coffee grinder & brewer that finally gave up the ghost after about five years of everyday use. The only reason I give the new on four stars instead of five is that the grinder sounds like a jet engine spooling up and nearly requires earmuffs.

So awesome all I have to do is pour the water and the coffee beans and set timer. The coffee comes out almost too hot but it’s great for me bc I tend to leave my cup and come back to it! Best coffee maker I’ve ever owned.

The downsides of this machine are having to clean the grinder and coffee basket compartment after every brewing. In addition, there is no selection of the strength of the brewing possible. My previous grinder/coffee maker was a Kenmore Elite-not available any more-it had a selection for medium or strong brewing and did not require cleaning all of the parts after each brewing. The Kenmore even had a selection choice of how fine or coarse one could grind the beans. With this product, there are no choices.

This is my third automatic grind and brew Cuisinart coffee maker. I like the new physical look and it works just the way the old ones do for brewing coffee. I am not a coffee drinker but my husband is and it appears that I can make him good coffee without ever tasting it. What I don’t like is the top of the coffee pot requires extra work to click it shut tight or it comes off and coffee spills all over. The 2nd thing I don’t like is the holder of the ground beans is not two parts any more and it is more difficult to remove the grounds and to clean it.
