The coffee pot aka carafe needs more work to rinse out than others and raise a concern of bacteria build up. Water and soap are able to enter in between the glass and bezel.

Very happy with this coffeemaker. Makes very good coffee and is easier to clean than I expected based on some of the other reviews. Have used the programming function, and I know my coffee is being made and it's time to get up when I hear the grinder in my kitchen!

This appliace never should have left the design committee. It causes so much extra work that i hate using it (clean after every use!) What a MESS! Every time, grounds everywhere, paper filters don't fit well, and the carafe leaks when pouring coffee and filling the reservoir.

The coffeemaker produces very good coffee after you learn to operate it. The enclosed operations manual is so confusing you have to teach yourself by trial and error. I won’t try to unsnarl the confusion because the labeled buttons you push on the coffeemaker and the manual exist in two separate universes.

Great coffeemaker but poorly designed grinder

This is a good coffeemaker but the grinder part is a poor design. The grinder needs to be cleaned every time and dried out every night by leaving the top of the coffeemaker open so that it gets air. If you don't leave the coffeemaker open there is too much moisture in the grinder the next morning and you can't fill it up with beans. Other than that I love it. I would buy it again, just need to work around the moisture in the grinder part.
