The instructions call for 12 level scoops of beans but this really depends on the beans you buy and how strong you like your coffee. I suggest starting with 12 and adjusting up or down one scoop at a brew until you have the flavor you like. It’s a great coffee maker.

This is my second Cuisinart grind and brew purchase. My first one was 15 years ago. I do have to say they make them different. But I actually liked the newer design. I did read a lot of the reviews prior to making my purchase. And I noticed a lot of people were complaining about the cleanup of the machine. But I had that clean up on my old machine. So no matter what… you always have to clean the coffee machine. I found that the newer model was much easier to clean than the older model. I do have to say I liked the older models Grinder, compared to the newer models blade that grinds the coffee beans. All in all, I do enjoy my coffee machine. It does keep the coffee hotter than the original. So all in all again I’m very happy with my purchase. Thanks Cuisinart.
