Great Coffee Maker. Follow the instructions on proper measurements of beans and set your start time and enjoy fresh ground, fresh brewed coffee! This is our 3rd Cuisinart unit and like our past purchases We are not disappointed. Easy to use out of the box. I would recommend this (and have) to friends and family.

I had two DGB900's over the last 6 to 8 years. That's the one with the built in bean storage on top and the bur grinder. I loved everything about those machines, except that eventually they both started to leak water during brewing, getting the counter all wet. I knew some other people who had this same machine and everyone of them had the same leaking problem happen. This DGB400 is a warranty replacement for the 900. They were very good at honoring their warranty after I totally disabled the 900 by cutting the cord. I received the replacement within about 10 days. The DGB400 does not have a bean storage area and uses a blade grinder. The Conair/Cuisnart company tells me that they no longer make the 900 (probably couldn't stop the leaking problem). Anyway, so far the 400 is working very well!

Best cup of coffee I’ve ever made! Fresh every day and super easy to make. A little loud when grinding, but it doesn’t last more than 10sec and most doors and walls block it out.

Bought this model as a replacement for my 15 year old Grind & Brew that had a stainless steel carafe and was a dream. Not impressed with this replacement. The unit is super loud, the grinder shoots grounds all over the top of the filter basket, the lid on the glass carafe doesn’t stay in place and the heating element is so hot it burns the coffee after only one hour. It all looks and functions like a cheap knockoff. I expected more from Cuisinart.

Great coffee. Tip: rinse the grinder cup out every couple of uses. We had weak coffee one day and I found that our guests had not cleaned the grinder cup out and it got totally blocked with ground coffee
