Brought this to replace an old one after accidentally breaking the glass carafe. It’s a nice grind-and-brew machine with a timer function that makes a very nice fresh pot of coffee first thing in the morning, for a very reasonable price. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the lid on the carafe seemed to sometimes leak, especially at first. But overall I’d recommend it.

Makes coffee as advertised... Significantly more cleaning involved with this unit. Grinder / Basket / Basket holder / and Carafe ALL need cleaning daily. Lots of nooks and crannies to catch spent grinds. So in my opinion it is not really saving time. I have not cleaned my stand alone coffee grinder in forever...Ever. Now I do it every day. Grinder sounds like someone starting a motorcycle in the kitchen. Last Cuisinart coffee maker lasted almost 10 years...this one is built well. Hopefully this one will last half that!

So my after a lot of shopping around my husband I choose this coffee maker because it matched my new Kitchen Aid Stove better than any other option we had seen on the market. It does what we need it to do, (make decent coffee). Now, for the biggest Con- If you have Cat's with claws that sleep in your bed like we do. We highly recommend you shut the Auto Grind Feature Off if you want to have any Flesh left when the timer goes off in the morning! The sound resembles a leaf blower going off in the kitchen while we were asleep in the other end of the house. Instantly setting our cats in a panic and clawing their way across the bed and our bodies! My husband and I each had no less 3 bloody dripping claw marks a piece. Poor kitties tails were poofed out like bottle brushes for the next ten minutes trying to figure what just happened. We got a good laugh later, but it was not the way we like to wake up on a Sunday morning.

This machine brews excellent coffee, but the equipment is cumbersome. Hard to get lid off the coffee pot to clean or fill with water. Doesn’t loosely hinge. Is fixed and secure on the pot. Pouring spout is tiny- takes forever to fill with water. Filter is small so if you brew 12 cups - it makes a complete mess - filter doesn’t have enough space/ isn’t deep enough for grounds and liquid to steep and filter properly and it overflows all over everything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you don't need to grind your coffee beans don't get this model. We don't and didn't realize the extra steps and cleaning you must do after each brew because this model is made for grinding coffee beans.

This is the 4th grind and brew I have purchased. The motor seems to be the first thing to go. The first one we purchased lasted the longest. Each one purchased after has had a shorter life. What I do not like about this last one we just purchased is the after grinding the beans there are grounds all over the hot plate. Plus the carafe cover does not fit on very well. Unfortunately, I am disappointed in this coffee machine.

The grinder. Is so loud and disturbing on this coffee maker. The design lets moisture into the grinder during brew process and is a messy cleanup. The brewed coffee is good. The pot design drips when pouring a cup of coffee.

Works ok, a bit slower than our previous Cuisinart coffee maker. Not fond of the grinder when we don't use. It still fills with condensation so requires cleaning even when not used. Wish it could be left out when not used but the pot will not brew if not in place. Sorry I got this model.
