Solid but needs to be cleaned

It's solid and reliable, but I hate that the grinder is inside instead of on top. It leads to it getting much dirtier than expected because of the moisture. I also think this unit as a whole requires more frequent cleaning than others I've used.

Take Note of the Grind Feature

This is my second grind and brew from Cuisinart. The first quit working after 10 months of sporadic use. I returned it for this model and hope I will have better luck. One thing a buyer should know is that you cannot make a whole pot of coffee using the grind feature as the grinder capacity is limited. It works fine for the two of us, but for a larger pot you need to use ground coffee. The coffee tastes good and we are pleased so far.

Good in theory...

Hard to clean after each use. Please prevent the grinder area from getting wet to prevent the grinds from being caked on after each use.
I was really looking for something less involved for us, so we could wake up and have coffee in the morning with no fuss. I was hoping I wouldn’t have to refill the beans every day, and wasn’t expecting the cleaning to be so tedious after every use.
Otherwise, fairly happy with our purchase.

My fantastic Cuisinart Grind and Brew Coffeemaker

I have owned the previous model for over 12 years and it is has become a little temperamental over time and a LOT use. The bean grinder is very particular on how it is inserted along with grounds basket sometimes does not firmly close. But this only encouraged me to buy the newer updated version of this fantastic coffeemaker. I still have the older version around for when company comes and I have a requirement for a greater quantity of coffee or to have a pot of decaf in additional regular. Nothing is better than having fresh ground beans to brew your coffee every morning and this pot is great.

Good but not Great

This is a good coffee maker, but I was wanting a great one. I purchased this grind and brew for the grind feature. It was going to save me money vs. purchasing a separate grinder and coffee maker. It functions as advertised, however, you MUST clean it out each time you wish to use the grind feature. The drop location into the basket is great except for the hot water that runs through there. This results in steam and heat into the grinder area and then cakes the residual grounds onto the side of the grind hopper. it is a painstaking process to clean this thing thoroughly enough to make coffee. Sure I could just not use the grind feature, but then why did I pay this much money for a standard coffee maker? You have been warned

Not the model for us

Our coffee grinder and coffee maker died around the same time, so we thought this would be a perfect option. Unfortunately, water runs through the grinder area and ends up packing down the coffee grinds. So not only do all the grinds not end up in the filter, we don’t put grinds down our sink, so it was not easy to get all the grinds out and rinse everything after each use. We love Cuisinart and were replacing a well-loved Cuisinart coffee maker, but this was just not the model for us. We actually went with a different Cuisinart coffee maker model and bought a separate Cuisinart grinder.

Fresh Ground and Brewed at home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You haven’t lived until you have a fresh ground and brewed cup of coffee. This is so easy to use and clean. Can prep it the night before so that it makes your coffee brewing that much easier in the morning. You are in control of the level of strength to your pot of coffee. If you are working from home, be forewarned it is not loud, but it is not quiet. I am only a few months in, but so far so good.
