[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 12 cup cuisinart after having it for many years. It didn't break just felt like it was not making good coffee anymore. I'm not that impressed with this one. The lid is loose and it's a pain to clean when I used the grind feature. Also I've programmed it and I woke up to no coffee made a few times. I'm not as happy as I hoped to be with my new cuisinart.

Everyday we setup the coffee maker for 7 cups of coffee and everyday it was a mass. It took the enjoyment out of having coffee in the morning!

It sounds like a jet airplane taking off when it starts the grind cycle, making it completely impractical for my home. It wakes my kids up when I’m getting up for work. The daily maintenance is a hassle, as the grinder only stores one cycles worth of beans, and has to be cleaned daily (it gets wet and steamy from brewing).

We loved the thought of ditching our stand alone grinder and have 1 unit on the counter to both grind and brew. While the concept seemed great - this unit doesn't always grind all the beans and leaves a moist residue all in the unit that must be cleaned out before each use. So, does the machine work - yes. Does it eliminate an extra unit - yes. But it's messy and takes a lot more time. Would not buy again.
