I purchased this coffee center especially since I wante the best of both worlds. The grinder make a good pot of flavorable cokkee. However I'm very disappointed in the coffee that is brewed from the pods. A 6 oz. size cup would give me a more flavorable cup of coffee. 8 oz. is watered down and weak and I've tried five different brand pods. Not sure if this combination pot is the right choice. Should have purchased individual coffee pots so I could have the choice of either a 6 oz. cup or a stronger setting for pods.

Poor design. The container for water for pods is in the back and difficult to see. Easy to overflow. The volume for pods changes every time you tap pod. Need to be able to make 6 ounce cups. It is simply not user friendly

I got this to replace my Cuisinart grind & brew and a Keurig machine. This takes up less space but it's not as good in any aspect as each of its replacements. First the grind & brew side. I prefer a stainless carafe. It doesn't require a heating element and keeps the coffee fresher. You have to be careful when filling with water as there's a narrow pour area. There is no bin to pour most of a bag of beans, you have to add beans for each pot made. Which is necessary because the steam created while brewing makes it so you have to clean the grinder after each use. The single serve side has a single serve water tank so you have to fill that each time you want to use. It's also difficult to use a tall travel mug on the single serve side because you have to tilt it in order to get it out from underneath. All in all it's a decent machine but it could be much better designed. If they had just taken the old grind & brew and added the single serve, combined the water reservoir and kept the stainless carafe, this would be a 5 star winner.

We really like our new coffee maker. Not only can we make our pot of coffee in the morning but we can also make a single cup of coffee or tea any time of the day. The single serving can be one of 3 sizes depending on the size of your cup and uses K-cups. You can also use the plastic K-cup substitutes for loose leaf tea by removing the insert. The hot plate under the coffee pot appears to keep the coffee hotter than our old maker, and we can choose to make the coffee "Bold" with the touch of a button. The grinder in the new Grind & Brew Plus appears to be "sturdier" than the Grind & Brew we're replacing. We have a problem removing the grinding basket from our Grind 'n Brew and I don't think we'll have that problem with this unit. A window on the side allows you to see how much water is in the reservoir so you don't have to look from the top. The reservoir for the single-serving side can hold water for several cups of beverage, but note that the single brew side will not work unless a minimum amount of water is in the reservoir and it may be difficult to ascertain the problem. This little gem is in the instructions but how many of us will remember what we read when we first read them. The coffee ground basket can be used with either a paper filter or the screen basket that is included. The coffee ground basket is hinged and apparently the top does not detach. Each reservoir has a "stick" that holds a carbon filter. Two filters are included with the maker, and I find they improve the taste of the coffee by removing some of the chlorine, etc. All in all, pleased with the purchase.
