Great coffee, more maintenance than expected

The coffee taste great and we love the carafe or pod option. My only complaint is the steam isn’t vented well so the coffee grounds get moist and matted in the grinder causing it to need to be cleaned more frequently and than any grinder I’ve ever used.

Only 2 issues, but annoying ones.
1) The design of the grinder allows for steam to enter the grind chamber and the moisture causes the coffee grounds to clump and means I need to clean that chamber out every singe day prior to brewing a pot.
2) This is now my 4th Cuisinart coffee maker. I keep buying because we like the stainless steel look and styling. For all 4, the carafe drips badly when pouring a cup no matter how you hold it, so every morning means cleaning the counter after each pour. Why can't you make one that pours without dripping??

This was a warranty replacement for a DGB-900BC. The DGB-900BC had a burr grinder and a thermal caraffe. I do not like the coffee the new machine produces. It just tastes bad. The grinder design is ridiculous too, the instructions say to keep water out of it, but in the process of making coffee steam and condensation force water into the grinder, which will probably wear it out quickly. If you want a quality machine, look elsewhere.

This our second Cuisinart coffee maker. We were very happy with the first one. This one gives us option for pods too. Everything worked perfect out of the box. Brews a great cup or carafe. The only issue was the strong plastic smell for about the first week of use. I would change the flashing light when the lid is open. We like the lid open after each use to dry the maker out. Other wise it's been a out two months and all is good.
