Bought this as a replacement for the previous (same) model which, after a ton of use, just died. The earlier model was so much better. On this newer model, the configuration of the tray and racks is awkward and doesn't make sense. Completely different on this newer model. Toasts ok, but tends to run hot and I've burned a lot of bread on the "medium" setting. Also... minor but still a thing...it arrived dented.

The wire grill that is supposed to slide in and out is about 1/16 or 1/8 inch too wide. It has to be jammed in and yanked back out. Accordingly, you have to use one hand(covered by a hot pad) to slide it in while the other hand (also covered by a hot pad) holds the top of the toaster oven in place. It does heat up quickly, which is the only reason for two stars.

I had a Cuisniart Toaster Oven Broiler for years, using it regularly, more than the microwave. The upper heating element eventually burnt out. I found its Cuisinart replacement and I am happy again. I love the bagel toasting feature, and the pull out crumb tray.
