So far I have used the toaster, broiler & oven. All 3 work very well. You will need to try the toaster at different levels, I can’t imagine toasting anything higher than “medium”. Also when the toast cycle completes, you receive 5 loud beeps!! 1or 2 is enough, but I don’t believe the # or sound level can be adjusted.
Otherwise we are very happy with the unit. One other thing, the crumb tray is removal from the front of the unit - this is very convenient!!

The one design feature I think was not thought out completely is the fact that the top of the oven gets very hot to the touch and even further. to temper that I have placed a oven safe glas panel on the top of the oven with insulator pads on it's base to allow air flow. try thinking along these lines.

Instructions for rack positions are confusing. There is no mention of what temperature to set for toast. Baking tray after only 2 uses had small pits in the metal and even when scrubbed clean looks stained. I had an earlier model of this oven that lasted 16 years which is why I bought this one. Hoping longevity will make up for less than perfection.

This Cuisinart is my 3rd attempt to purchase a good, old-fashioned toaster oven. This unit is sturdy and offers the basic features of a toaster oven ( without an air fryer!), but come to find out there is no timer to indicate when something should be removed. To me, this is a huge flaw and a safety issue that could lead to fires and lots of burnt meals. I have to set my oven timer when I use this device or suffer the consequences!
