2. There is no timer on the bake cycle. One has to use an external timer
3. The crumb tray is a great design, easily allows a complete clean out.

Bought this as a replacement for the previous (same) model which, after a ton of use, just died. The earlier model was so much better. On this newer model, the configuration of the tray and racks is awkward and doesn't make sense. Completely different on this newer model. Toasts ok, but tends to run hot and I've burned a lot of bread on the "medium" setting. Also... minor but still a thing...it arrived dented.

The wire grill that is supposed to slide in and out is about 1/16 or 1/8 inch too wide. It has to be jammed in and yanked back out. Accordingly, you have to use one hand(covered by a hot pad) to slide it in while the other hand (also covered by a hot pad) holds the top of the toaster oven in place. It does heat up quickly, which is the only reason for two stars.

I had a Cuisniart Toaster Oven Broiler for years, using it regularly, more than the microwave. The upper heating element eventually burnt out. I found its Cuisinart replacement and I am happy again. I love the bagel toasting feature, and the pull out crumb tray.

I have a kitchen full of Cuisinart products. My toaster over broke after 6 years. I thought I was buying the same thing. Didn't happen! The new one is smaller and the sliding pan is very cheaply made. Foods do not clean off. They seep into the pan. Also, when the toast is ready, there is a loud awful ringing sound which could wake up people in the house. The first time I am not happy with a product from Cuisinart.

Instructions for rack positions are confusing. There is no mention of what temperature to set for toast. Baking tray after only 2 uses had small pits in the metal and even when scrubbed clean looks stained. I had an earlier model of this oven that lasted 16 years which is why I bought this one. Hoping longevity will make up for less than perfection.
