This coffee maker holds the coffee in a reservoir inside the coffeemaker with a heating element. It always stays hot. This is my second purchase of this same coffeemaker. The first one lasted 6 years. It's a little pricier than others, wish it would have lasted longer, but not much lasts long anymore anyway. Good to see that the power cord has been made longer. Otherwise an attractive, easy to use product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Coffee on Demand 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker is high-quality. Ours lasted flawlessly for 16 years, every day. Just received our new Coffee on Demand 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker. The brewed coffee never gets scalded in the tank.
To keep the Coffee hot past the automatic 'off' feature. Manually turn off the unit for a second and turn it right back on.
I've purchased many other Cuisinart products and can honestly say, "They are worth every penny."
I would recommend this to a friend!

Brewing is not consistent.

I was so excited to find a single serve coffee maker that doesn’t require pods, but I really prefer to brew just one cup of coffee. The first cup was great, but now, I’m having problems with the brewer. It starts pouring into my mug before brewing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overall very happy with this unit. Only real complaint is that coffee level gage isnt real accurate, but that can be lived with. As well, it seems the basket is slightly smaller than the previous on demand model we had, and occasionally allows coffee grounds to pass over the top of the filter.

Should last longer than 3 years

We've had this for 3 years and 7 months. It's always had a problem with coffee grounds getting everywhere when you brew it strong but we could live with that because it looks good and keeps the coffee warm. We clean it regularly. Now it's leaking from around the metal plate in the coffee reservoir every time we use it. Looking for a more durable coffee maker this time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
