Great Replacement for My 12+ Year Old DCC-2000!

My 12+ year old Cuisinart DCC-2000 finally stopped working a few weeks ago, and so it was time to get a new machine. I've always had my eye on the DCC-3000 but checked into other units 'just to make sure' there wasn't anything newer that I had missed.
There wasn't. The DCC-3000 was the only coffee maker that had the same cool features that I had on my DCC-2000 (coffee reservoir, 1-4 cup button, press-to-dispense, etc.) plus it adds the external removable water reservoir, the handy 'clean' button, and the LED light that illuminates the coffee dispensing area. A great idea that LED is...as for over 12 years I found myself bending over and trying to see how much coffee I had dispensed! Now with the LED, no issues whatsoever.
I've made about a dozen 'tanks' of coffee and use 4 gently rounded scoops (of Seattle's Best "Portside Blend" ground coffee) with 6 cups of water (as marked on the water tank) with the 1-4 button depressed. Yum!
Great product, and look forward to 15+ years out of my new DCC-3000!
I would recommend this to a friend!

We all enjoy this unit, Our prior unit functioned flawlessly for over ten years with 'more' than daily use. Cleaning is a breeze when using a cleaning solution. The water tank filter makes a nice touch and with a coffee gauge on the front, you always know what's in the tank!

I love my new coffee maker and have no problems with it,except The cord is so short, and i had trouble being able to plug it in. I have never seen a cord this short on any coffee maker i have boughten.

I prefer the old style better. This newer model is not user friendly. It is hard to pour the water in with out it running over into the coffee basket. The coffee doesn't remain hot as long and the buttons on the front are to easily pushed when trying to move the coffee maker in order to put water in it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coffee remains in basket.

After brewing, coffee remains in "grounds basket" and causes spillage when attempting to transfer grounds to trash.
