I bought this as replacement for the same model that unfortunately had sprung a leak from the base of the coffee reservoir. We liked the performance and flexibility of this model enough to warrant direct replacement. The ability to dispense a cup as soon as coffee starts brewing and flexibility to make as many cups as wanted up to 12 at a time is definitely an advantage. Also we find that no paper filter is needed for what we do so we save on that aspect.
