We chose this Coffee pot after a friend recommended it. We only had it for about three months and it started to leak all over my new countertops. I notified the company and they told me exactly what to do. It was so easy and I am not a computer genius. They told me to cut the cord off and take a photo of it and send it to them. A few days later I received a brand new coffee pot. It is very important that you register your coffee pot that way they will know exactly when you bought it. This pot will brew coffee for you quickly and keep it very hot, without losing its fresh flavor.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After buying cheaper coffeemakers for years, I decided to upgrade and this Cuisinart had pretty good reviews and it was somewhat on sale. I can't say I am overly impressed though. First of all, it is awkward. The side water tank has to be removed and filled and replaced for every pot. (Plus you gotta buy the pricey, specific water filters from, you guessed it, Cuisinart.)
After use, you have to take out the basket, the holder, and the tank to rinse out any leftover coffee and replace everything. The basket is small and cramped, and I have to set it on the counter to fill as every time I put it in the machine I end up spilling coffee outside the basket. Perhaps I still haven't figured out the perfect measurements because it has yet to make a strong enough brew for me. Setting the timer at night so coffee is ready when you get up is fairly simply, but I can't set it to 1-4 cups, so it never gets strong enough. And, it says 12 cups, but the basket barely holds 12 tablespoons. So, yeah, overall, I am quite disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
