VERY HAPPY WITH PURCHASE

This toaster oven is about all that I use now, unless I’m baking multiple items at one time then I use my larger oven.
Yes, this oven does have a large footprint; however, the I was searching for a toaster oven that accommodates the 9x13 pan I use often and also one that makes a great pizza, and this one meets both requirements.
It only took a few tries to learn how to navigate the buttons because it is quite user friendly.
The quality of the food from this oven is high and I’ve use it to make just about everything—toast, bagels, muffins, breads, cakes, fries, roasted vegetables, etc. And the temperature is accurate because I actually use a separate oven thermometer to verify because it’s just a habit that I developed in the last from having an oven that didn’t heat up correctly.
I’ve had this oven for 4 months now and highly recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Who needs a conventional oven?

The stainless steel exterior makes the Cusinart a classy appliance that deserves a space on my counter. The quartz heating tubes heat the oven fast and provides even heating. The pull out crumb tray makes cleaning easy. For my family, it is much faster to use the Cusinart than to heat up my conventional oven.
On the down side, the outside of the oven gets very hot, to the point of being concerned about burns. Better insulation would be a big plus.
I also read many reviews that noted the labels on the buttons wore off, so I didn't take any chances and put tape over mine from the start.

Not a lemon but also not a peach

This is really easy to use. It is great for baking and other oven cooking, but no matter where I put the bread, it toasts unevenly, and this is very disappointing. I bought it because Wirecutter recommended it and I had the chance to test one when visiting a friend. Also, the door is bent and does not close fully.

Didn’t want to use our “bigger” conventional wall oven all the times for smaller bake work so decided to give the chef’s conventional oven a try. Turns out to be one of our favorite and most used gadgets in our house. Size is perfect for our family of four. I can do up to nine toasts at once or roast two pans of veggies at once. This is a great oven!!

Nice and compact and easy to use. Works well. But since it is compact, there may be little insulation and the external surfaces get quite hot - so hot that the plastic tie that holds the electric cord melted.

Useful appliance for an Empty Nest couple.

Empty Nest couple purchased the Chef's Convection Toaster Oven. Everything works as expected but we have two suggestions. 1) The controls feel cheap and we are dubious about the long-term reliability of the knob and buttons. 2) There should be a ventilated shield across the rear wall. This would prevent the rear wall of the oven from coming into contact with skin, flammable materials, etc.

More Oven than Toaster

The plus sides of this Convection Toaster Oven are many: the size, the two racks, the many different preprogrammed tasks, the auto shut-off timer, the memory of the last settings for each task, the convection fan. The cherry on top is the Speed Convection that allows the oven to double as an air fryer. The only drawback I found is the toast function. I cook for one, and my two slices of traditional whole wheat sourdough turned out dry, rather than toasted. My fix was to turn the time all the way to 7, and not put the bread in until the calrods were red hot. Definitely recommend it with that caution.
