This is the best little coffee maker! The coffee tastes good. It has a small profile yet looks higher because of the stainless carafe. The coffee making process is different but is worth the effort. I think the water filter really helps.

This coffee maker replaced my ten year plus 4 cup Cuisinart. Still the best for a piping hot cup of coffee. Love the removable water reservoir and the indicator light signaling a completed brew cycle.

This 5 cup coffee maker replaces my 4 cup Cuisinart machine of similar design. This new machine includes a few new features and improvements from the earlier, such as a removable water tank with a filter cartridge. The filter lid has a better seal, as does the carafe, so the steam is contained reducing condensation drip. The look of the coffee maker is modernized. It took under 5 minutes to brew the full tank of water. This is a 5 cup machine but cup sizes are smaller for coffee. It makes 3 standard size mugs. The filter lid must be closed completely because the no-drip valve is actuated by the lid being closed. This newer design is a good one. This coffee maker has a lot of neat features for such a small unit. Use it at the office or apartment or dorm. I take mine when we stay at a hotel so we have good coffee . I definitely recommend this Cuisinart 5-cup coffee maker.

Downsizing from a thermal Bunn. It led a long life. I drink less coffee now & I knew Cuisinart was a solid brand. And even though the carafe wasn’t thermal, at least I couldn’t break it. And it has ‘sneak a cup’ while brewing & auto shutoff. It’s called a 5 cup, I drink mugs. It solidly fills two mugs. Review say it leaks when poring. It does if you lean it against your cup. Just hold the carafe up a bit when pouring. Easy to clean…I love it!!!!

This model apparently replaces the 4 cup maker which I used for over 20 years. More is not better here. Set up to brew is more complicated with removable water canister. The filter is slightly small for a #2 filter ( which I prefer to use) . The drip stop is not effective unless brewing has finished.
That said, once quantities of water and coffee are properly proportioned, the 5 cup produces a similar cup of coffee as its predecessor. I tried the Caprese 4 cup and it just didn't have the thru-put to make the strong coffee I prefer. The "improvements" increased the counter top profile and have more moving parts to clean and maintain.
